Haru's breath hitched as the first wave of his heat crashed over him. He was supposed to be calm, collected, focused on the wedding preparations—but his body had other plans. Werewolves don’t really feel cold but as an Omega, I’m more prone to feeling cold or getting sick since I’m weak. I get a quilt and head to the couch where I lie down. Time seems to pass really slowly and I can’t seem to find sleep. There’s something twisting in my stomach, that uneasy feeling that’s making me anxious and I can’t understand it.

The room seemed to tilt for a fraction of a second, the sudden wave of internal heat making my knees tremble inside my heavy hockey pads. I knew that feeling.
