A step closer to him is as far as I get. Theodore moves fast—faster than I expected. One second I’m standing there, the next my back hits the wall with a dull thud. He presses his elbow hard against my throat, cutting off my air just enough to make it clear nothing about it is a joke. The guy’s face is inches away from mine, minty breath brushing my lips.
“Stay. The. Fuck. Away. From. Me,” he hisses, staring me down. “I mean it.”
