Enter the Shadows

Enter the Shadows

Penny stood looking up and down the stairwell at the human statues. The door to the stairwell opened, and Penny saw the men before they saw her. Ducking, she kept low, making her way further up the stairwell, and out of their line of sight. She kept going until she reached the roof. Moments before, she was only three floors from freedom, and now she was standing thirteen stories up with nowhere left to run or hide. Penny ran her hand through her hair. Now she didn't have the knife either. Somewhere along the way, she had dropped it. Penny looked down at the phone she held so tight that her knuckles had turned white. She hopped to the ledge of the roof. The ringing of her phone had her jumpin

Abandoned by Ex, Married to His CEO Brother

Abandoned by Ex, Married to His CEO Brother

I reached out wildly, trying to grab onto anything to stop my fall, and my hands found the front of Susanna’s hospital gown. The thin fabric tore under the strain, but it was too late. The momentum of my fall pulled her down with me. Time seemed to slow down as gravity took hold. I instinctively twisted my body, curling inward to shield my stomach from the impact of my fall. Pain exploded across my back as I collided with the railing before tumbling further down the stairs. Each collision sent shock waves through my already battered body. Finally, I landed awkwardly on the landing, my breath knocked out of me in one painful gasp.

Claimed By The Triplet Alphas

Claimed By The Triplet Alphas

I said, grabbing my AP calculus textbook off the shelf. "Fine, I'll go check my outfit in the mirror outside. If you don't hear from me again, you're on your own; I'm not risking getting chased by the matrons!” I swiftly flipped open the pages of my AP calculus textbook to the assignment. I thought I was alone in the cozy reading nook, nestled between two bookshelves, when I concentrated my mind and levitated my favorite pen—a black Pilot G2—from its hiding spot under my pillow. The pen soared through the air, coming to rest in my waiting hand. Just then, my roommate emerged from the laundry room, her eyes widening in shock and her mouth agape while holding a wet t-shirt.

Goldie
BOOK 1 WAS GREAT. I FEEL LIKE SHE RUSHED BOOK 2, BUT WITH HER RECENT EDITS, IT LOOKS GREAT TOO. PLEASE, DON'T CONDEMN THE AUTHOR AS SHE EXPLAINED, SHE SUBMITTED THE CHAPTERS IN BULK AND HAS EDITED THE CHAPTERS. I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD LITTER HER BOOK WITH BAD REVIEWS WITHOUT READING THE EDITS
April
This book could be good but it seems like it is all over the place. Repeated chapters, unfinished stories, jumping from one scene to another without any in between. Its like the book is going to fast with the witch curse but also not fast enough with who she chooses as her mate

Rescuing the Beta's Mate

Rescuing the Beta's Mate

It was enough that I could slip a claw through and slice the barrier up through the middle. I was immediately falling from the sky. I imagined a soft pillow catching me, uncertain if that exercise would work. I closed my eyes, fearing the worst as I dropped hard to the ground. Surrounding me was the fluffiest pillow that took the brunt of my fall. I laid there for a second, catching my breath.

The Ice Between Us

The Ice Between Us

For a split second, I’m weightless, suspended in the air, the world silent, my body remembering something my mind forgot. Then gravity hits. I rotate. I come down... and land squarely on my ass. Not hard. Not like before. Just… ungraceful. The kind of fall that stings your pride more than your body. I sit there, stunned, breathing hard, my legs sprawled out in front of me. Daniels skates toward me fast, panic in his eyes. “Lena! Are you...”

THE REJECTED LUNA’S FOUR KINGS

THE REJECTED LUNA’S FOUR KINGS

He froze when he saw Lyra drifting near the ceiling. "Emma! She’s doing it again!" Félix squeaked, nearly dropping the tray. He set it down frantically and lunged for the baby, catching her in mid-air and tucking her securely against his chest. "Lyra, we talked about this. Gravity is a friend. Gravity keeps us on the ground where the snacks are." Lyra just gurgled, reaching out to grab a handful of Félix’s blonde hair.

He had his own gravity field. As I waited for him to make a move, the ground started to swallow my feet. My legs were sinking fast; this must be Mount Fort’s doing. When he raised his right hand to swat me, I sky-jumped to free myself and got back into the air, but the gravity of this world yanked me toward the hill. I couldn’t get my legs positioned downward. Losing my stability, I panicked and screamed while falling. “I got you, Mr. Roche.” That was Zeki’s voice.

Alien Mate

Alien Mate

What a nightmare instead. She'd definitely make the news now though, probably with headlines of "Asteroid Kills Geek Girl." Pity she wouldn't live long enough to enjoy her fame. Penelope stamped the floor in frustration, and the impact shot her up to bump her head on the ceiling of the pod as she forgot the gravity situation. The light whack didn't actually hurt, but she rubbed her head anyway as tears brimmed. It's not fair! I don't want to die. Agnostic, she didn't believe in a god or religion, but she dropped to her knees-kind of, if you counted bent knees while floating in a gravity-free zone kneeling-and suddenly converted. With her eyes clamped shut and her hands clasped together, she

Teen Drama

Teen Drama

I jump onto our polished banister like a deranged monkey, seeing as I switched to my satin lounger pants when I got home and slide down the curved wood to catch up with him. It’s faster than I expected due to its high gloss finish, and I can't really grip it, or I’ll slow down. Curled over, sliding backward, I meet the last set of steps at high velocity as he does and tumble sideways as the rail curves inwards and is no longer straight. My grip is awful, and I am catapulted, losing a sense of time and space. I come flying off at speed, shooting at him like a torpedo, knowing this was such a bad idea that it might get me killed. Gravity is not my friend, and my stomach lifts in my body as I a

The Alpha's Obsession: His Forced Mate

The Alpha's Obsession: His Forced Mate

In the next second, I snap my feet together and shove them between his legs where he stands in the dirt and drops my weight back. His head pulls back, and he sways toward me, giving my legs momentum like a pendulum swinging between his wide legs beneath him. I look up from between his legs and watch as he loses his balance and descends backwards. It’s a scramble to get out of the way of his way as he steps a knee back and steadies himself with an ease that seems ethereal. I am frozen on my hands and knees, watching as he yet again defies gravity and stays up right.

Riveting - this story draws you in from the first chapter. It is full of drama and mystery. You suspect there is a wolf in sheep's clothing and bite your nails, hoping the female lead figures it out in time. You watch transfixed as the male lead grows into something darker to survive & find justice.

Most books that aren’t finished don’t keep me captivated long enough to keep up with the updates but I can guarantee that I will be keeping up with book until the very end. The book’s plot line is very intriguing and will draw you in within the first few chapters.
