Aliyah's POV My stomach lurched as I fell, the sensation of gravity disappearing as it swallowed me whole. I tried to scream for Skylar, for Tyler, but the gag in my mouth turned my cry into a pathetic, muffled sob. The fall didn’t last as long as I expected. I hit something hard, not stone, but a thick layer of moss that smelled like old blood and stagnant water. The impact knocked the wind out of me. I rolled across the damp floor of whatever we had landed in, my silver chains clanking against the ground.

Her body rolled down the stairs like a rag doll; every impact against the marble sounded like a verdict. She stopped beneath the staircase, motionless—a heap of silk and scattered strands of hair

It gave off a stench so vile it was beyond words. Chunks of dried concrete still clung to me. My exposed skin was blotched with livor mortis, and my face held just enough to hint at who I used to be. Jayden stood frozen, eyes locked on my corpse like someone had hit pause and left him stuck in that moment. "No way… No way…" Jayden muttered, his expression twisting into something unreadable, his voice barely a whisper. Hank gave his shoulder a gentle pat. "What's done is done, Jay. You've got to let it go."

I managed to whisper, my eyes fluttering shut. "The ledger is finished," Silas said, his voice a low rumble that was blissfully silent in my head. No psychic echo. No judgment. Just the cold wind. "Now we start the design for your ghost." As he carried me toward the Northern Citadel, I felt the "Voice" of the Crescent Pack finally fade into static. Roman was screaming into the void, but for the first time in a long while, I couldn't hear him. The pavement had cracked. And I had finally fallen through.

“Yes please, please! I’m running out of air!” The cry came from behind where she was kneeling and Jasmine began to touch the newly dug grave. “Xavier, I found her!” She screamed as she began removing the dirt from the top with her bare hands. Again her heart pounded alarm as her mind flashed like crazy. She looked around again a bit disoriented, there was a blurry image of a man in front of her with what seemed like black wings behind him. His face was too blurry to make out and the light...there was light surrounding him as she could only see the silhouette of the wings and the body.

“But everyone has a breaking point.” A shadowy accomplice entered the room, dropping a file on the desk. “This might help.” The figure opened the file, their lips curling into a sinister smile. “Perfect. Let’s see how Mr. Cole handles this.” The photograph on top of the file showed Ethan at a younger age, standing beside a man who looked eerily similar to him. “Secrets always have a way of coming out.”

An obsidian stone is inside my seal, and the guards fall over themselves to let us inside once they know who I am. The wall is ridiculously tall, made of thick, reinforced steel. I crane my neck back, move my hair back to see it all. The portly guard pulls a lever, and a portion of it lowers. Clunky and groaning, the ice flys out, the gate forcing its way open. The gate lowers completely, warm water slowly trickles out, and the inside of Estate Eclipse is steaming. I grab onto Dante and he helps me past the blocks of ice until we cross the other side of the gate.

The hum changed pitch. And the pull twisted— not outward, but downward. Ronan’s stomach lurched as the floor beneath them shifted. Stone split with a deafening crack. Kiera screamed silently as gravity gave way— and the chamber opened beneath their feet, swallowing them whole.
