Glass-Torn Heart
My once fervent hopes had faded into resignation.
The anguish, struggle, and turmoil in between, were all too much to put into words. I could only record it through tears.
Dad’s tears fell onto the paper, blurring the words of grievance.
He could not utter a single sentence, only suppressed sobs.
They finally knew they were wrong and were finally regretting it.
But in this world, there was never a cure for regret.
Kelvin stood motionless before my photograph for a long time.
His eyes were bloodshot as he reached out, wanting to touch my image in the photo.
