The late afternoon sunlight streamed in, casting a warm glow around her, making her seem almost ethereal.
Oswald watched in silence as she gently adjusted the flowers, her fingers brushing against the petals with a tenderness that was both surprising and disarming. Her focus was entirely on her task, her face serene and calm. She hadn’t noticed him yet.
