HIS REGRET (Ex-Husband wants Me Back)

HIS REGRET (Ex-Husband wants Me Back)

Nearby, golden shrimp and vegetable tempura lay crisp and light atop fine paper to catch any excess oil. And that wasn’t all. A small pot of shabu-shabu bubbled invitingly, waiting for slices of raw wagyu to be swirled through its fragrant broth. Beside it, a generous bowl of ramen sat steaming, crowned with chashu pork, a half-boiled egg, and a sheet of black nori—tempting, irresistible, and impossible not to crave.

Hi author can we shift the tone a bit, I feel like it’s getting repetitive I don’t think it’s necessary to keep bringing up about David, Natalie and Eli relationship and how it’s weird every chapter. It feels like I’m reading the same thing over and over again just worded differently.

The story is really good but I’m still in chapter 410. So not sure how much will happen in the next 600(and counting) chapters. I hope it’s not prolonged too much unnecessarily. I felt a bit cringe with the plot holes like the change in the name of Chase’s dad, or Daven saying Josh was 5 🥲

I take the water he offered and chug it down. “I am Aiden” he introduces himself “I am an orderly here, I will bring you meals and meds basically.” He says passing me the plate. I want to tell him to fuck off and where he can shove his food but my stomach does a lurch to tell me its been ages since we last ate and whatever is under the cover smells good. Removing the cover it’s roast beef and vegetables. My stomach makes another noise at me to tell me that we are not passing this up. I wonder if it’s poisoned and then realise they just injected me with pure wolfsbane in front of me. Why would they need to hide poison in my food?

The Things We Don't Say

The Things We Don't Say

"But I know it's made with short noodles, cuttlefish, monkfish, squid, and other seafood. It's cooked in olive oil and seafood broth and finished with a crispy bottom layer called socarrat.” He called off the items from a list he seemed to have ingrained in his memory, counting them with his fingers. “Correct, right?” I laughed, shaking my head. “Would you be surprised if I told you I had no idea?” Marcus thought about it for a second. “No.”

Coming Out of the Deep

Coming Out of the Deep

Lake's POV “Yes. One day.” I responded as Kairos asked if I wanted him to meet my parents, but I did not dwell on it because I didn't want to think about the complications and ruin the moment, and he didn't press, which I appreciated. "I would love to meet your family one day, and I would love for you to meet mine," he stated, and we returned our attention to the food. Kairos pulled out the ingredients: thinly sliced tuna, oysters on ice, strips of salmon, a tray of seaweed and kelp, scallops, octopus sashimi, and even a container with some sort of sea cucumber in it that looked… well, questionable.

The Aloof CEO Wants Me Every Night

The Aloof CEO Wants Me Every Night

Alice heard the sound of a wallet crying. The interior decoration is antique, Japanese—style design, tatami style, exquisite elegant room with screen to cover, unique charm. The waiter in kimono led them to the window, poured them black rice tea, and served the menu. Barry asked Alice what to say, and Alice shook his head: "You click, I don't know much about this." "Then I'll just click." Barry twitched when he saw Alice nodded. He is really cruel, what is more expensive, salmon, Arctic shellfish, beef sashimi, miso soup ...

When Hate Falls in Love

When Hate Falls in Love

As soon as they walked in, the scent of seaweed and warm rice greeted them, triggering a hunger that had been forgotten. They were seated at a table near a large window overlooking a small outdoor garden. Dim lights added to the pleasant, calm atmosphere. "Go ahead and order first," Rafael said, handing the menu to Aurora. Aurora browsed through the menu pages and selected some of her favorites: salmon sashimi, tamago nigiri, and ebi tempura roll. Rafael added a few other choices, including tuna belly and unagi maki. After the waiter left with their order, Rafael leaned back and looked at Aurora as she tucked her hair behind her ear.

Fake Identity

He doesn't like the smell or texture. "It's delicious, try eating it!" Ilona took a big spoon and pointed the seaweed slice right in front of his face. “Oh, no, Ilona! I don't like that! Oh, the smell!” Ziyan's reaction immediately covered her nose tightly. "Seaweed? Don't you like seaweed?” “Put that away! Come on Ilona...!” complained Ziyan. Ilona immediately removed the bowl of ramen from in front of Ziyan and replaced it with shrimp and squid satay.

Secrets of the Luna

Secrets of the Luna

Jolene gave him a questioning look, but whatever he said in the mind-link, she didn’t question it. “Okay!” Theresa smiled as she brought out a few different plates. “The first one is a cucumber shrimp cups. It is filled with a dill dip and the shrimp is chilled. The next is spicy with chinese prawns and a side of rice. This is mini salmon poke bowls and finally is the lobster raviolli. These are our top sellers with the best reviews! Do you guys want a few minutes or are you ready to order?” She looked around at the empty chairs.

Every single book I read from Mrs. Smith is AMAZING! Secrets of the Luna is no exception. Her writing makes the story fly by too fast! What I LOVE is you become part of the story, and to me, that's a sign she's a great author.
Mila
Love the book although the plot is just a repetition of Tattooed Luna with a few differences. Same storylines… FL with complicated childhood being hunted down by villain with Mafia ties and overprotective brother is also in the mix. Just too similar in my view. But enjoyable nonetheless.

Still Want You

Still Want You

Her hand fluttered to her mouth as she swallowed back her nausea. "Don't you dare," Steven warned her, leaning towards her and keeping a pleasant smile on his face to disguise the warning? "But they're alive." She replied in horror. The plate that was placed in front of her has shrimps in it and also they are moving weakly as they are still alive. Noticing her face, Miss Inakowa-san interrupted them in her weak English."These are very fresh." Laura rolled her eyes as she screamed in her mind. "NOT FRESH, IT'S ALIVE!!"

Chasing Kitsune

Chasing Kitsune

I shrugged and dressed before putting my hair up into a neat bun. After a quick glance at the mirrored closet doors, I walked out. I followed the delicious smell of food to find Hikari and Riko sitting at a table in their kitchen with a full traditional Japanese breakfast set out for three. Rice porridge, miso soup, grilled mackerel, tamagoyaki, green bean gomaae, pickled cucumbers, natto, and a steaming cup of green tea.

Another awesome book by Bryant! She is so great at character development and pulls you into her story. I love how she delved into taboo topics, and the real cost of those behaviors! It's also great to read about a strong female, instead of needing a man to save her!
Y. Jetter
This is probably one of my favorites from the author. It was well written and puts an interesting spin on Girl Power. I loved how Yuri was just risqué enough to keep me hooked. Yuri/Kitsune are the bada$$ I wish I could be. Hibiki is the perfect pairing for her, complementing not overshadowing her.
