If someone talks about teleportation, Alfred Bester's The Stars My Destination and its hero Gully Foyle may spring into his head. In Bester's world, "jaunteing" or teleporting is performed for anyone that knows where to point to and does so with a suitable phrase. This is purely science fiction, but it is interesting to think something might one day be possible.
However, until that happens, the same teleportation sadly only exists in reality as people sitting next to their loved ones. We still have to rely on traditional carriages or horse-drawn vehicles. Of course, who knows? Possibly with rapid advances in technology, one day even this will become a possibility.
