The Devil's Broken Doll

The Devil's Broken Doll

A handful of volumes wore painstaking repairs where burnt pages had been reinforced with impossibly thin sheets of parchment. She drifted towards one such shelf almost unconsciously. The nearest book looked as though someone had snatched it from a fire moments before it was lost forever. Its spine had split, the edges of its pages darkened to deep brown, while careful stitches held the binding together with remarkable precision. She looked back at Arkael. "I thought..." Her words faltered. Apollo's voice echoed unexpectedly through her memory. I burnt every Emberborn history. Her fingers hovered just above the damaged cover. "I thought they were destroyed."

The CEO’s Vengeful Bride

The CEO’s Vengeful Bride

The journal was still warm when I picked it up……proof Damien had been reading it again. He didn’t hide it from me. Didn’t deny it when I walked into the sunroom and saw the worn pages laid open, the ink smudged at the corners. He simply turned the book toward me and tapped a passage I didn’t remember writing. “If the fractures ever take me, follow the numbers. Don’t trust the names. Not even mine”. Beneath it, in handwriting far sharper and more panicked, was a set of coordinates.

Her thirst for vengeance

Her thirst for vengeance

“As long as you remember why you came back.” I reached for the new bundle and unwrapped it, my excitement returning. The familiar scent of old parchment filled the air as I flipped through the worn pages. But my smile disappeared when I spotted something strange. “Ingrid…” I murmured, holding one of the books up. “This one’s also damaged again.” She leaned over, and her brows furrowed. “What?” Pages were missing yet again!. Not torn from the spine like yesterday's own, but sliced out cleanly. Precise. Intentional.

RUINED

RUINED

I leaned on Cassandra due to my weakened state, feeling a little dizzy. “Gargle first,” Azaia said and helped me get up. She gave me a glass of water and I took it. I quickly followed her instruction before finally feeling a little better. Cassandra was quiet the whole time until I sat on the sofa while Azaia stared at me. “Are you okay?” Cassandra asked when I was now sitting comfortably. She wiped off the sweat on my forehead and neck before looking directly at me. I opened my mouth, “The food you served me was probably spoiled already. The smell… I thought it was rotten,” I said.

Running Away To My Forgotten Heir

Running Away To My Forgotten Heir

My living had been turn upside down, and my staffs stood there powerlessly, there faces buried toward the ground. Jax was sitting on the sofa facing the entrance, holding a book I had left on the table earlier before going out. I walked forward and the damages got clearer; vases broken across the floor, and one of my favorite portraits shattered to the ground, with its frame resting by the wall. “The Unwelcome One,” he read from the book’s cover, slowly. “By Martin Crowns.” He looked up, at me, and I walked closer to him. “What’s the deal with you? Why causing all this mess in my abode?” I said slowly and my voice shaking—like I’d poured all my seriousness into that statement.

OBSESSED (Book One)

OBSESSED (Book One)

Office Gray says, bowing slightly alongside his partner before they both walk back to their car. I stare once again at the once upon a time vibrant environment that is now clouded with smoke and darkness. A tired sigh escapes my lips when I realise that this may actually just be the beginning. I know it's weird but I just have this feeling that the worst is yet to come and the truth is, the thought of it alone scared me like nothing else.

The Full Moon Murders

The Full Moon Murders

The room felt smaller. Evelyn stood. “Then why is she looking at me like I already gave the order?” No one answered. Back in the city, Damian stood alone in a burned-out office beneath the ruins of the Circle’s safehouse. Smoke clung to the air like memory. He pried open a charred drawer and found a hidden compartment. Inside: a single leather-bound book. No label. No crest. He opened it. Journal entries — handwritten, old, yet clear. "The wolves are fracturing. They no longer obey blood — only fear. Unless we create a new bloodline, one they cannot defy, everything will fall to ruin."

Iridian

Iridian

Nearly fifteen minutes later, I had found what I was looking for. 1850 was one of the journals that had been damaged the most. I opened the book carefully, blowing away the ash that settled between the pages. This time, when the magic snared me, I was ready. I followed it into the depths of this particular memory, knowing I'd have a headache later from how distorted everything was. The fire had damaged the magic within the book, and the memories themselves. I was left with only what I could see. I stood just outside of the estate, only it looked much different.

Amy
Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

Alpha Kael And The Crimson Bloodline

Alpha Kael And The Crimson Bloodline

Because disobedience meant death. And maybe worse. --- Far in the distance, the last of Kael’s convoy sped through the forest roads, tires grinding against wet gravel, engines humming like shadows fleeing the storm. Inside the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge, Kael sat in the passenger seat, the ancient tome resting on his lap. The Book of Damned. Bound in something no one dared identify. Etched with runes that seemed to slither under the eye. Heavy as if filled with the weight of every soul it condemned.

MY TRIPLET HYBRID STEPBROTHERS WANT ME

MY TRIPLET HYBRID STEPBROTHERS WANT ME

The page he had opened was burnt off. “This is the second book with Odette that has a page missing just when it's about to become about her!” he declared, the tone of his voice increasing in irritation. My heart dropped to my stomach once more as I quickly flipped through the pages of the book in my hands. But just as Cassian had observed, the pages of the book with me were also burnt off at the page that was supposed to be about Odette… “No… No…” I mumbled as I quickly started flipping through the rest of the books.
