The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Elegant. Nobody would notice the emptiness between them. Nobody ever did. By six o’clock that evening, the city glittered beneath gold lights and polished glass. Elena stood before the mirror while stylists adjusted the final details of her appearance. The black silk gown hugged her figure elegantly, soft diamonds resting against her throat like carefully hidden sorrow. “You look stunning, Mrs. Laurent,” one stylist breathed. Elena smiled politely. Beautiful women were often praised most when they were unhappy. Her phone vibrated again.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

She nodded and disappeared into the other room. “I love the atmosphere here,” I said, looking around at the beautiful ladies in sexy dresses that accentuated their frames just right and the dapper, handsome men dressed impeccably in expensive suits. In a way, it was almost as if we had just stepped back to another time, a time of elegance and glamour.

The Lost Heiress's Glorious Return

The Lost Heiress's Glorious Return

“I’ll take care of it. But for now, it’s time to get ready for the welcome party of Miss Gomez.” Hours later, I found myself stepping into the extravagant Gomez estate. The living room was a display of opulence - crystal chandeliers that hung low, while sleek, modern furniture in muted tones of gray and cream gave the space a sophisticated edge. Lavish floral arrangements adorned every available surface, their fragrance mingling with the faint scent of expensive cologne and perfume. I hated the mixture of thick perfume and wanted badly to turn back and go home. The room buzzed with chatter, laughter, and the soft clinking of glasses. Waitstaff in crisp black uniforms weaved through the crowd

Heartstrings

Heartstrings

Grace looked around in awe. The grand party looked nothing like she had imagined. In her imagination it was supposed to be dark, filled with guns and drugs, but if anything, the lobby was not fully stuffed but people wearing mysterious auras and dangerous facades surrounded the area. The moment she stepped inside, she felt like an outcast. Never had she ever attended such a luxurious event. Women looked as stunning as models she admired on television and men seemed dripping with money and expensive suits.

Contracted to Deceive

Contracted to Deceive

I click one link, and a video starts playing. Dramatic music. There’s Gabriel at a work event, smiling stiffly with his hand on my lower back. Me, laughing in that dress at that stupid gala where I thought I belonged. One of us entering a hotel, God, they even got the footage from the Aurelius. Jesus. Another of me getting out of a cab near Montclair building, looking rushed and tired, captioned in bold white letters: From drug deals to executive deals. Gloria Williams plays the long game.

Billionaire's game #1: The Millionaire's Matchmaking

“Yes. My best friend’s sister owns it.” My lips formed an “o” shape. “Really?! Now I’m even more curious about how wealthy you are, Alexander.” Alexander just smiled and gently took my wrist. “Stay close to me, Isabella. You might get lost.” I continued looking around, soaking in the various designs displayed throughout the building. The inside of GlamourVista was stunning. The grand lobby featured luxurious marble floors, high ceilings, and stunning chandeliers that sparkled like jewels.

I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess

I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess

Gloria was always the first one up, without fail, and she dragged Lucas out of bed every morning even though Lucas clung to the sheets and whined with the dramatic agony of a Victorian child forced to do manual labor. The women had formed an unofficial-but-dead-serious schedule that rotated between spas, shopping trips, brand-new boutiques, brunches with too much champagne, skincare appointments that cost more than some people's cars, pilates classes they pretended they were committed to but skipped with no shame, and wine tastings they absolutely never skipped. Cassie, Veronica, Gloria, Camilla - all glowing like they were starring in a skincare commercial, dressed like walking luxury billb

The Second Time's a Charmer

Her fingers trailed each of the book’s spines while muttering the titles, Valencia is searching for the book named, ‘The Golden Success’, a manual literature that made the world’s well-known businessmen and businesswomen massively successful. She leaned her right shoulder on the bookshelf exhausted with her head hung low, groaning tiredly, “This is going to take me for ages.” A clacking sound of heels echoed in the interior hall, she swift her head behind to see a woman in her early 50’s pulling a trolley stacked with a mountain of books, she immediately strutted towards her, “Excuse me Ma’am!” the woman jumped in startle from her voice, “M-miss don’t surprise people like that!” the woman li
