Rudy Rude hastened his pace. He crossed the street then went inside Sloppy Jones Mac and Cheese, the glass-paneled eatery, outside The Times office building entrance. He hunched himself over a table, had coffee and a sandwich, and then waited. The unobstructed view all around the place made the scanning of all the people who went in and out of the building easier.
