I sat on my bed and leaned on the headboard before taking a deep breath. I wasn’t being delusional. I saw it, I saw that his eyes turned red for a second. I just shook my head and tried to get it out of my head. I got the book that I borrowed from the library. I remembered that this book was from Zion, the one he said I’ll like. The main character was a female vampire who had just gotten off of her transition. I’ve read some pages and I stopped when I realized something. Some of the information was familiar to me. I went back to the other pages to read it again.

Though, since they don't have a figure like Hala or Machiv with them they might be a little more rowdy than us. "What are you reading now?" asks Syl as Machiv closes the book he was reading to shift to another large, heavy, and slightly old-looking book. I at least get a tiny thread of scent from the book, and I recognize the smell of weathered books that still exist now from the past. "Why are you reading that?" asks Syl, a look of disbelief and humor on his face when he hears the title of what Machiv's reading currently.

Varos chuckled darkly. “Oh, this is going to be fun.” Kael shoved her behind him, his wolf ripping free—bones snapping, fur bursting, body expanding into a massive midnight wolf with burning golden eyes. The sound shook the cavern. Varos grinned, his body shimmering as he began his own shift—bones cracking into monstrous shapes, his wolf form far larger, scarred, and pulsing with corrupted magic. Damian stumbled backward, caught between terror and guilt.
