The Bully's Regret

The Bully's Regret

I hoped strongly that he was black-out drunk to remember it; otherwise, I was sure he wanted revenge. I decided to paint a little before I wrapped it up and immersed myself in a book. I leaned away from the canvas and observed it for a while. The colors blended perfectly as I stared at it. It was a picture of a sky with multiple hues of sunset. Almost turning into a night, the illuminated lampshades made the picture pop out. After I came back from the party last night, I was so inspired by the night sky and the scenery that I decided to pick this thought apart and actually paint it out.

THE MAFIA’S HIDDEN PRINCESS RETURNS

THE MAFIA’S HIDDEN PRINCESS RETURNS

Then she set up a new canvas beside it. This one, she painted slowly. Deliberately. She mixed colors until they were exactly right—deep grays and silvers, touches of gold, shadows and light intertwined. She painted until her back ached and the light faded from the windows. She painted storm-gray eyes behind a black mask. Strong hands holding hers gently. The feeling of being seen, translated into color and form. She painted Dante without meaning to. Painted the man who’d given her one perfect night when her world was falling apart.

Spirits of the Night

Spirits of the Night

Alex stepped out of the woods with quick, decisive strides, feeling the tension in every muscle of his body as he left the dense gloom of the trees behind. The cold night air accompanied him on his way back home, a chilling reminder of the secrets weighing heavily upon him. Upon arriving, he climbed the stairs in silence and closed his bedroom door, seeking a moment of peace. Slowly, he pulled off his shirt, revealing a firm, sculpted torso marked by hours of training and nights under the full moon. His broad shoulders and powerful arms reflected the strength he carried within, while his defined abs looked hand-carved, tapering into a perfect line that highlighted every detail of his physiqu

But he also knew her well enough to understand that pushing her would only make her retreat further. So he did the only thing he knew how to do. He painted. Stroke after stroke, color after color, he poured himself onto the wall until his arms ached and his shirt stuck to his back with sweat. The mural became a battlefield of his emotions—hope and despair clashing, longing bleeding into silence. And still, it remained unfinished. Because she wasn’t there. And until she was, it always would be. The city began to quiet as the night stretched on. Traffic thinned, bars emptied, windows darkened one by one. But in two very different parts of the city, sleep refused to come.

A Night with Mr Bryan

A Night with Mr Bryan

Fred, Bryan, Naomi? I pressed a pillow to my chest, trying to quiet the noise. I was tired of doubting good things, tired of wondering who was safe. But for tonight, I chose to believe. Even if it was foolish. Even if it hurt later. That small belief was enough to help me sleep. Or at least, I thought it would be. But when I lay on my back, staring at the ceiling, the night refused to rest. The hum of the generator outside, the barking dogs, the faint smell of my mother’s oil perfume, everything felt too alive. My thoughts wouldn’t stop racing.

That Which We Consume

That Which We Consume

I wasn't a celebrity or anything but people knew who to come to if they wanted to schedule tours or have me as their hostess for a private showcase. I had to host a grand opening tonight for a rising star painter, who of course did not show up to talk about his work. He couldn't bother mingling with the peons I guess. I stood near one of his latest paintings; his name was scribbled on the bottom right corner of the canvas. 'Martino Lavardi'. The painting was of a woman with the physical features of a peacock. Instead of a nose, she had a light gray beak. She had full pouty lips colored blue-green. Her hair was in a curly up-do of black ringlets and from her chest down to her feet, her body w

Villainess vengeance

>> The uninterested expression on the painter face infuriates the other, who continues strick the heel on the floor. " Think about it Duke Thomas Eavl , I would be waiting for your answer." The stricken sounds of heels, faded in the environment . The painter took of his thick eye glasses, reveling those pair of sad grey eyes,His messy blonde hair was tied in a bun and white tips. His hand suddenly trace on his beautiful painting of a smiling brown hair female, tears hitting the ground. " I can't, I can't wait any bit longer." The view slowly pass the squat and crying Painter, towards the beautiful view of the blue skies and birds on the air.

A Night With The Billionaire Musician

A Night With The Billionaire Musician

"But you can't do both." “Girls at the back, yes, you two,” Mr. Freyer pointed a finger at us. "What's the first structure of Romanticism?” Mr. Freyer snapped from the front of the whiteboard holding his black marker in hand. He was thumping the small nozzle of the pen against the board in frustration. He was somewhere in his late-fifties but he had amazing eyesight. He wouldn't let anything fly past him. "Come on, we don't have all day."

Forced To Marry The Ruthless Alpha

Forced To Marry The Ruthless Alpha

I suppose it comes with being Alpha, but I'd like to at least see his face before I close my eyes. "Look at this!" I gasp, noticing a man painting in the middle of the french quarter, a giant canvas. Rushing away from Hardin, I make my way through the people to get a closer look. It's almost like he's pouring random colours onto the canvas and swiping his brush through it all, but even I know it's a technique. The dark paints make the light colours seem brighter, a silhouette of a person hanging between both sides. "Do you think an artist paints about themselves, or someone else?" I wonder.

Dianette Pickens
I have thought long and hard on how to best review this book and the most simple answer is that if you are looking for a fairytale go somewhere else this book has a real life ending because life is not all rainbows and unicorns. The story line was good but it took me days to process the ending.

Night of shades

Night of shades

But that wasn’t what he was drawing today. There was a picture of two girls—rendered crudely in crayon, but still identifiable as girls. One of them had short blond hair and the other had long brown braids. Their hands were on their faces and their mouths open in screams. David had drawn these as big black circles. A huge black shadow hovered before them, a shapeless body with red eyes and clearly defined hands. The hands looked like long silver knives. There were many drawings before this one. Lauren wondered how long David had been at it.
