I sat on a tufted velvet couch in the center of it all, somewhere between laughing and hyperventilating. “Okay, little sunshine,” Alessia said, crossing one long leg over the other. “We have six private appointments today, but this is our favorite stop. Couture. Minimal alterations. And It’s on me, of course.” I blinked, “What do you mean on you?” Claire smiled gently, handing me a sparkling water in a crystal flute like we were at a royal tea party. “It’s a Capone tradition. The mother of the groom buys the bride her dress.”

Immi is my world, she rocks it. As she gets closer, she gives me a wink, I wink back, she blushes even more I can see a faint patch of redness on her chest. It’s damn difficult to tear my eyes away from her. Immi moves to the left hand side of the altar and smiles demurely. She has her niece and nephew who look to be only five and six throwing out petals from their tiny baskets. It’s adorable.

On the day of the wedding, I wake up at four in the morning, waiting for the stylist and the cars that are supposed to take me to the venue. But seven o'clock comes, and no one shows up. Panicking, I call my childhood friend, Heath Zeller. His laughter comes through the phone. "Julian, how can you be this careless? We were told last minute that the cars aren't going to pick you up today. Everyone went straight to the hotel instead." I grab my custom-made wedding suit and rush to the hotel. By the time I arrive, drenched in sweat, the place is completely empty. Just then, Heath calls again. "I was just messing with you," he says, barely able to hold back his laughter. "You didn't ac

The staff raked the warm sand into a smooth floor and placed three rows of four white, plastic chairs on each side of the palm prawns that make up the aisle. Joe, Calvin, and Garret stand handsomely in pale blue, button-down, Cuban-style shirts with light tan shorts and brown, leather topsiders. The bridesmaids’ sun-kissed skin glows in the pale blue halter-top sundresses that fall mid-thigh, adorned with a light floral pattern.

mom said again. "Well, why don't you let Beverly get married to Mr. Popular?" I half yelled. "I'm sorry honey but you were chosen, don't try doing anything stupid okay," mom said and giggled like a maniac. "Hey!! come fix her face, she ruined the first makeup" mom said and walked out. *** I walked down the aisle with dad holding my hands. "You're so beautiful honey" dad whispered leading me to where my groom was standing. As soon as we got to where my groom was standing, he took over from my dad gripping my hand tightly.

Arthur roared. Then, he turned to me, the anger on his face melting into a warm smile. "Sophia, I know Jonathan was in the wrong today. But please, for my sake, give him one more chance. We spent such a long time preparing for this engagement party, and all the guests are here. "The engagement ring is an emerald that we got from an auction. I promise you'll love it. And look—Jonathan is considered quite handsome, isn't he?"

“I just don't want him getting worried. Besides, he has other things to attend to. I shouldn't be burdening him with everything about me” “Okay. Take care” “Sure. Hopefully, I'd see you in the evening… if everything ends well” “Everything will end well” she assured. “See you later. Bye” I disconnected the call and checked the time. A crimson carpet was unfurled along the central aisle, starting from the forest glade up to the serene woodland that I chose as the wedding venue. The whole place was decorated with ornamental flowers and bistro lights were dangled from the trees, creating a magical ambiance that bathed the reception area in a soft, enchanting light. Chiffon fabrics that were used for draping added a billowing effect to make the venue more elegant and luxurious.

He had assumed that things were going to get busted at the wedding so he told the bouncers to not let some particular people in. “Oh… I…” I stuttered, completely short of words. What was I going to say? It was not even my wedding. I mean, it was not even a real wedding. I had no single bridesmaid. What a wedding! “I am sorry. There was some mixup and it affected a lot of guests,” I lied.

I replied still very much confused at where all these was heading to. "Jade and Melinda, these two prestigious guests of ours are Mr Luca Greco and Mrs Gabriela Greco. They are very respected and powerful people in the society" Father announced to me. "Oh. It is a pleasure meeting you both" I gave a slight bow. "The pleasure is all ours. You are so polite.
