He pushed off the desk and stood at his full height. "The last day, what you said to me was warranted." He peered directly into her eyes, his voice was soothing. He was not one to admit mistakes but he knew he had to set this one right. "I was wrong to treat you in that utterly disapproving manner and I want to relate my regret and tell you how ardently I desire to apologize and hope that we can reconcile our differences." He spoke fluently and Isis, like always hung on every word he uttered. She was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. A very cliché analogy but it didn't harbor how true it was.

Then, her gaze averted somewhere behind me and she smiled warmly. I turned back to get inside the principal's office but I stopped as my parents are now in front of me who have been wearing hopeful faces. And, I looked back at Zavia and she gave me a small nod with a hopeful smile. I took a deep breath before I spoke to them and I nodded my head lightly. "Fine. I'm giving you a chance. I... I forgive you... for everything, Mom, Dad. And, I am sorry, too." I uttered and their faces lightened up as they heard it.

I said walking up to the door opening it to see a man with a blue delivery shirt on . "Hi thanks for bringing my delivery, you can just place them over there to the right." I said pointing. " Yes ma'am" he said walking off the porch back to his truck opening up the bed then he lowered it down. Walking back into the house letting him do his job without me peking over his shoulder . I waited till he was done so I decided to check some websites that sell dance poles. I only found two sites that ship and the price was reasonable so I ordered one of each of the two I liked. By the time I was done, so was the delivery man. So for his work I made him a glass of lemonade that I made yesterday.

My white tuxedo was ruined—filthy, torn, soaked through. And Sarah just stood there watching. It wasn't until a crowd gathered that she finally bothered to pull them off me. She looked down at me with pure disgust. "Just go home. Stop embarrassing yourself." My body started shaking. I dug my nails into my numb palms and tried to walk away, my steps unsteady. But Sarah thought I was running. She grabbed me and shoved me down onto the edge of the bed. "You did something wrong, so apologize. Now." My knees slammed into the floor. The pain drained the color from my face. I looked at my parents, begging for some kind of help. They both looked away at the exact same time.

You could hear the collective intake of breath. Baron froze. He didn’t look away this time. His lips parted, then closed again. The entire church waited for his response. Whispers filled the silence. “What does he mean by that?” “He’s speaking like someone who’s done it.” “Unholy.” “God forbid.” Baron’s jaw tightened. He looked down at his Bible, then up again. “There is forgiveness for those who truly repent,” he said finally, voice thin. “Marriage is honorable in all things, and if one has fallen, he may find redemption through repentance and obedience. But he must not return to the sin again.”
