Philip chuckled, “I was reading the news, care to join” Mora pursed her lips, she reposted, “I thought you were making a call” His phone started ringing, and his face changed drastically, realizing that Mora was looking at him intently. He picked up the call grudgingly “Gabriel, I promised you... your money, I know you are the one who releases me from prison, please, stop calling me, I will be in your office tomorrow…”

“Ronaldo, there is something I want to clear up. Your family, do they have interests in Thelma-Dionis? Conflcits with other investors?” The boy gave a puzzled look, and only answered that he knew nothing “Ok then, your captors. Did they seem familiar to you?” The boy shook his head, “Your family, the Tiago-Villalobos have been long time shareholders of Thelma-Dionis is that correct?” The boy knodded. “You are a scion, are you privy to the business deals that your family goes through?” Ronaldo shooked his head at first, but the Arbiter stood silent. Knowing his charge was lying, he stared. The boy then began to talk.

He drew out the drawer and looked and took out the phone that was ringing. It was his small burner phone. He answered the call. "We are done with the job, sir, " a deep, manly voice said from the other end of the phone. "That's great news, " Rockwell said, as he smiled slowly. "Yeah, we will be expecting the payment as you promised." "I will send the money to your account. You don't need to worry about that," he said. "Alright sir, have a nice day, " the man said as he ended the call.

“The problem I have with you is that you're too foolish. In fact, you're daft. You exposed yourself too quickly. Have you forgotten that evil never prevails?” “Are you preaching to me now?” He laughed. “That's so nice of you, but I'm not ready to be preached to. Before you say anything else, check the stats. I'm at number 2 now, so technically you're below me. I'll soon be at number 1 and that's when things would really get interesting.” He laughed and ended the call. Roland ruffled his hair. He dropped his phone and different calls started coming in. First from his father, then his mother and some from other businessmen.

A big company like them couldn't do it, why throw the task on him? Or did they have second thoughts about the collaboration and decided to use this format to make him look incapable? No matter what he would prove them wrong. On the way to the parking lot, his phone rang and he fished it out of his pants pocket. A shrill, angered female voice rang out from the phone the moment he pressed the answer button. "Roberto, why have you decided to embarrass me like this? Why did you not send the money? A measly ten million, Roberto, why is that so hard for you to give, huh?"

Now, with the way things are going, Evelyn was curious to know what happened, but she made no mention. Just then, her father's phone rang. All eyes travelled to the screen of the phone as it laid on the table. Evelyn was only able to read an initial, D. Shell. Ronaldo immediately placed his phone off, ignoring the call. That was when the talking began. " Is it that woman? She's is the one right? " Her asked in a stoic tone. Evelyn prepped for the drama that would follow. She remember hoping that it wasn't something serious.

I answered. Lionel stopped for a few seconds, and then he took out his phone in a state of urgency. “What are you doing?” I asked Lionel. “Checking him out,” Lionel said. Still, I wondered how it was possible that Lionel wouldn’t know about Donald Shell. Then maybe it was possible that he also didn’t know about Mark Ronaldo. I was shocked. “Oh, he seems really popular,” Lionel said as he stared into his phone. “His name popped right up the moment I typed it,” he added.

Maybe because deep down, he knew she was never going to choose him once money left the table. His phone rang, he exhaled before answering the call. “Good morning, am I speaking with Mr Ryan?” The caller asked. “Yes… “I'm sorry to inform you that you've been disqualified for the interview.” What?!

He slid the phone across his palm, his reflection faint in the broken glass of its screen. But he wasn't finished yet. Not with one call. The phone buzzed faintly in his hand as he dialed another number.... A number he had memorized long before stepping foot in this house. A number that belonged to someone whose name was spoken in hushed whispers, even among the Atlans. The line connected, and a different voice filled the silence. This one was rough, hoarse, like gravel grinding together. "Hey… little boy," the man said. "It's Joel Gonzalez". The Atlans' lord's second right-hand man. Ruthless and Calculating.
