KATRINA Elder Sesan has been trying to wear ‘normal’ clothes for the past few years but he was never successful in pulling it off. "I am indeed Mrs. Blackwood," Penelope replied, smiling as she admired Leslie's beauty. It wasn't the subtle type of beauty—no, hers screamed supermodel, stepping right out of a magazine or photoshoot. Her personality was timid and a tad shy, though. Penelope wondered if Leslie even realized how pretty she was herself. "We've been assigned to update your wardrobe. I just need to get your correct measurements, though Mr. Blackwood already gave us a scale, and from the looks of it..." she said, giving Leslie an appreciative glance.

Penelope announced as she walked back into the cafe and sat in front of me. I gazed at her beautiful green eyes and smiled at her. Penelope is a beautiful human from her long black hair to her perfectly round face and plump lips I love kissing to her incredible height at six feet and Calm personality. Penelope was my ideal woman but I don't see a future with her. If there was a future. "It's all thanks to you Penelope," I touched her hand on the table and caressed it. "But next time, fix an appointment I would complain about," I informed her.

The scene was explicit in my mind: the dim, flickering lights, the electrifying energy of the crowd, and the rush of the fight. But this time, it was different. There, in my corner of the ring, stood Penelope. She was dressed casually in a white tank top and blue jean shorts, her fiery red hair pulled back into a ponytail. “Well, well, well. If it isn’t the brooding brat himself.” I didn’t even have to look. Penelope. Wearing pink. Holding a parasol. Surrounded by three maids who all looked like backup dancers. I rolled my eyes so hard I nearly sprained a cornea. “Why are you still here?” She fluttered her lashes. “Why shouldn’t I be here? I brighten this whole place.” “I meant, don’t you have your own pack?” She gasped. Genuinely gasped, hand flying to her chest like I’d insulted her bloodline. “Excuse me?”

Although Vanessa has refused to give me any background on the guests, I have already found out everyone's information in advance and memorized it so that I can face every guest who comes to me calmly. I had just finished greeting the last group of guests, and was ready to take a break, but Penelope showed up. "Oh, you're good at tricks," she said in her usual mocking tone. Penelope is also heavily groomed today, wearing a gold fringed skirt, long black velvet feather gloves, and heels that are about 4 inches high. She looks even a little taller than me. "That sounds like a compliment." I quickly looked away at the table where the final arrangements were being made. Dinner is about to begin.

"Are you planning how to kill me? I'm deadly allergic to grapes if that helps." "I'll make sure to keep that in mind!" I flip him the finger and hurry to catch Penelope as she steps down. "Beautiful as always!" She shrieks, pulling me in by my waist. I giggle and smile completely, whipping Aiden and his stupid antics out of my head. "I've missed you, Penelope. You look gorgeous." Penelope has a bad girl persona. Black hair. Average height. And those lips could make heads turn. "Aiden Smith." He just has to ruin everything. I scowl and grimace at what I have to do next.

Once the dinner was cleared away, Penelope stood tall, her face glowing with smug satisfaction. The air around her seemed to pleasurable as she surveyed her prisoners—Brandon and Britney, both bound by her twisted desires. "I know you want Brandon happy," Penelope said, as if speaking to a dear friend, "I'm the one who can give him everything he deserves. Give us your blessing, Brit. You're like the sister I never had."

It hugs every curve perfectly, the dark fabric clinging to my waist and hips before stopping high enough on my thighs to turn heads the moment I walk into the room. When I finish my makeup and smooth my hair into place, the girl staring back at me in the mirror looks confident and untouchable, nothing like the tired twenty-three-year-old who spent the afternoon pretending everything in life is fine. When I walk back into the living room, Penelope is already face down on the couch surrounded by textbooks, highlighters scattered everywhere as she studies. She barely looks up. “Leaving already?” she asks. “Yeah.” I lean down and kiss her softly on the cheek.
