I had a book that talked about this persuasion technique. If you want to make someone believe you have a sudden change of heart, then this book was the one for you. I saw it online, and now I'm glad I bought it.

He smiles to himself and scrolls down the titles before clicking on one and clearing his throat. "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife..." He begins, his slow melodic voice calming my busy mind as I sip my wine and enjoy the book I've read a thousand times before, appreciating it a little more this time around.

Carefully, I slide the book from her lap and flip to the first page. It’s a romance novel. Women read about the kind of men they want, right? It doesn’t mean anything. It won’t hurt if I actually like the kind of guy she’d be into. It’d make our act more convincing. That’s all. I flip open the book and let my eyes skim the first few lines. She knew she shouldn’t want him. He was trouble, wrapped in a smile that made her forget her own name. I pause. That’s... intense.

Liam stated, and I frowned at him; he really was trying to rub this in my face that everything I wrote was just my illusion and not a reality. But it was a great title; how did he come up with it? “So all I have to do is change the title and do some interviews.” I muttered to myself, "This might work." No one was interested in buying my book because they thought I couldn’t advise them to lead a happy married life, especially when mine crumbled, but what if I changed my fan base? Girls like Sam loved reading such romance novels; they just read for fun and not because they were expecting some life lessons from them.

"And you were always going on about classics, Fifi. Come, sit here and read the book." Adi scooted over as he made space for her to sit but the sheer action of getting into bed with him made her tremble. 'Please remember that you are not a virgin, Fifi! You don't have to be so on edge!" Faith reminded herself failing to realize that she was addressing herself with the nickname he used.

"Yes, you're right. He is indeed arrogant." "What?" He looked at me for a few moments. "Oh, he's in your class, right? His attitude must be annoying." I nodded. I was already in my room, reading Nicholas' book and getting excited every time I turned the page. The author was very good at making loveable couples, where the man and woman were both romantic in their own way. Therefore, they could be a couple in the man's book. I sighed softly, still affected by the sweet and enviable storyline. "When do I get true love for myself?"

“So, what are you implying?” Harry's gaze sharpened slightly, and he grew more serious. “What I mean by ‘persuasion’ isn’t just aimed at Nicholas; it’s also directed at you.” Ken Yimo appeared puzzled, his brow furrowing. “Me? What exactly do you want to persuade me about?”

“When a strange man and a strange woman get together, they have their own intentions. He wants my money, and I want him. We’ve made our intentions crystal clear, so there won’t be any cheating with feelings.” Serenity choked on air, then could only say, “You sure are being crystal clear!” Ruth washed away the bubbles from her body and slowly put on a camisole nightgown. “Besides, a man is like a book. It’s interesting only if you take your time to read it, no?” Serenity clicked her tongue. “You’re just an innocent girl who’s never even touched a man’s hand. Why are you pretending to be a sl*t? So, what have you got from reading him?”

Star looked at me with new interest at his protest. "That is not the type of news I want to deliver to a pack member." I softly spoke, flipping through the pages. "No, it is not. I don't envy you right now, but there is another possibility." She arched a brow at me, then set a much smaller book down in front of me. "How to trick a man to love you." The title read. "Uh, I'm not sure this is the right book, Star." She was pretty damn old, maybe she was finally becoming senile.

Frustrated, Adrian kept the bottle down. He picked up a random book from her desk to divert his mind but stopped seeing the book cover. "Pride and Prejudice?Was she a sucker for classic romance? But she behaved like she was not interested in romance at all." God! He would never understand a woman! Would she ever want him the way he did? His dark eyes wandered from the book to the girl lying on the bed, without any slightest idea of the intruder. With a sudden overwhelming urge to smell her, Adrian started taking steps toward the bed, until he was too close to the bed.
