The reluctant vow
The morning started like any other. The Kareem mansion was quiet, calm, and filled with soft sunlight filtering through the curtains. Zara had barely opened her eyes when she felt a sudden sharp pain shoot through her lower abdomen. It wasn’t the usual pregnancy cramp — this one was deeper, more intense. She held her belly, breathing heavily as another wave of pain followed.
Regan, who had just stepped out of the shower, heard her low gasp and turned immediately. “Zara? What’s wrong?” he asked, rushing to her side. She was sweating lightly, clutching the sheets with trembling fingers.
