I slammed my phone shut, but Bruno's face still lingered in my mind.

“Like what? Annoying habits?” “Exactly! Annoying habits and deal-breakers.” He chuckled. “Okay, that sounds fun.” He paused for a moment, collecting his thoughts, before launching into his list. “Alright, three things I can't handle: nagging, it's a constant buzz in my ear; lack of intimacy, that's like a pizza delivery that never arrives; and going back to exes, that's replaying a video game I've already beaten. No thanks!” Zarek finished with a smirk, his eyes sparkling with wit. “But don't worry, I'm sure you're perfect in every way.”

she said suddenly. “Hmmm, I guess women who try to be something they’re not. I don’t want the perfect woman, I just want someone who is comfortable in her own skin. Someone who wants to genuinely be with me. No drama. No bullshit.” He knew what he wanted. Her. “Your turn. Biggest pet peeve?” She bit her lip in thought. “Uh-oh. Are you one of those that have a laundry list of things you dislike?” he joked. She laughed. “Now I might not tell you.”

She said as I nodded. "How many are there?" I asked as she chuckled. "Well these are few things she doesn't like in guys but there are things she would hate her spouse to have." She said, "Now you're getting on point." I said as she chuckled. "1. Short temper." She said as I sighed heavily knowing I fucked up at the first one. "Next." I murmured. "2. Hate for kids and babies." She said as I smiled this time. I love babies......

In fact, if you knew their pet peeve, and indicated that other people hated that thing, too, they would go off on all the things that were wrong with the company. And because of Keisha, I had a whole laundry list of potential pet peeves. I think some writer gave a speech once that started with a joke about an old fish who meets two young fish and casually asks, “How about the water today?” and then swims on. After he’s gone, one of the young fish turns to his friend and asks, “What the hell is ‘water’?” When you’re in it all the time, you stop seeing it – whether the ‘it’ is water, or bullshit problems at a corporation.

“You’ve been living off noodles for days. I assumed it was some kind of tragic comfort food.” I grumbled but didn’t argue. “Fine. What’s my biggest pet peeve?” “People telling you what to do.” My jaw dropped. “…Okay, I’ll give you that one.” Pierce leaned in slightly. “My turn.” I squinted at him. “Oh? So now you’re actually into this?” He ignored the jab. “What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done?” I froze. For a second, I didn’t speak. His eyes stayed locked on mine, probing, like he was trying to peel back a layer.

I supoort Chelsea.” “Me too.” “What do you not like?” “Um greed, talking too much, social media and short men.” The last aprt wa son purpose and he was kust laughing. “What do you have against short men?” “They arw just down to earth.” “Are you for reals? C’mon, donnot be like that,” “For me, i love working, making money and rim jobs.” “Wow…” “Yeah, i dislike seafoods, long skirts and women who cannot arch properly.”

I asked. “I am even more greedy than he was.” He replied curtly. I picked up a fork from the table and fished a portion of Seafood salad onto a plate. I took a few spoons and after savoring the taste properly I said, “He doesn't seem to hate anything.” “He hates a few things.” Vivian replied. “Being disrespected, being told what to do, being made to do stuff, phone calls, movies, games and excess sugar.” She listed out.
