The bark was wet from the constant spray of the streams. “Most of us call it the Twisted Oak,” Rowan responded to him. “Its growth pattern was altered by the waters that sprung from the mountains into the Oasis. But look more closely.” Rowan guided Alex’s attention with her hand to the space between the trees. As he looked around he noticed that there was something carved into all four trees. On two of the twisting oak trees positioned opposite from each other, a series of small circles were carved into the bark. Each tree had six circles cut away in a hexagonal formation. On the other two adjacent trees were six more circles carved in the same manner, except these shapes appeared to be pain

Unbeknownst to Elena, I had not come back from the Dark Forest empty-handed. At the very corner of the bottom drawer, lie two things. One is a tiny bottle courtesy of the Sorceress and within it, lies liquid that glows an eerie blue when shaken. The other is my old butterfly-shaped hairpin, only this is no longer an ordinary hairpin. The ends of the sharpened pin had been infused with the very thing that we wolves fear the most; liquid silver. I pick up the hairpin and hold it against the light from the midday sun that streams in through the window. The pin gleams in the light and a smirk appears on my lips.

"That's deep in the Black Forest. Past where any pack normally goes." "That's where we need to take the twins tomorrow." Dominic's voice had gone hollow. "Not the regular Wolf Altar near our territory. The Moon Wolf Altar in the Black Forest." Killian pushed off the wall, still holding his side. "The Black Forest is crawling with shadow corruption. Getting there and back alive will be nearly impossible." "But that's where the Moon Wolf needs to return to its position." Silas looked at the fading runes on the wall. "That's where the prophecy will be fulfilled."

The entire forest seemed to glow that morning. Gold and silver banners rippled in the breeze, each stitched with the intertwined sigils of Blackpine, Twilight, and Phantom—once rival houses, now bound together. Wolves padded through the clearings dressed in ceremonial garb, their fur brushed with streaks of ochre and ash, symbols of loyalty and rebirth.

"Ezra said, ''Impossible Aries swear that she would never teach anyone how to make it or control it," Leela said, '' I know how to make it and control it. "Ezra said, '' We don't even have the tree for it. "Leela said, ''Aries pillar is made out of a tree called green oak. The tree grows in Zillion. Which is abandoned. said the announcer. He waved his fingers at the holographic wheel, and it immediately spun with a dizzying speed. Its colored wedges blurred and rapidly CLACKED while it did so. Eventually it slowed, along with the noise, and the pointer up top ended up on a dark green wedge with the silhouette of three trees on it. The announcer’s eyes went wide with overblown surprise. “Oh wow,” he said. “The Dark Forest! I’ll bet some of you are really happy about that! It’s a brutal course to fight in. Let’s go take a look!”

"Where will we find it?" "The deepest part of the Wengi Black Forest," Rai answered, his eyes sharpening. "This plant grows around the nests of shadow birds, on the branches of dead trees that entwine an ancient spring. But the path is narrow. And we must beat the night dew before the ground turns to mud and the scent of blood attracts the creatures of the night." Sua took a deep breath. "Then we must hurry. But let me see Mother first."

Zane's Point Of View The car rolled to a smooth stop at the entrance of Blackthorn Forest, and I pressed my face against the window, my breath fogging the glass as I took in the sight. The leaves were a deep, unnatural green, shimmering slightly in the dappled sunlight, as if dusted with magic. But something about it felt… off.

Each leap carries us closer, but she’s fast—her white and red form blurring ahead, weaving between trunks, her three tails flicking playfully. The forest echoes with the pounding of paws, the rush of wind, and the thrill of the chase. Skadii glances back, her golden and purple eyes glinting mischievously, then pushes herself faster, testing our limits.
