Instead of screaming hysterically at him, I just looked at him calmly and presented him with divorce papers.
"Are you still insisting on lying to me? Or rather, are you still trying to lie to yourself? You're the one who said you didn't mind I had an ex-boyfriend, then you turned around and told other people that you thought that was gross.
"Just admit it. You're tired of me," I said, prying his fingers off my clothes one by one.
"Do you really love me, Xavier?" I continued. "Not even your father could be loyal to your mother. Do you really think you'd be any different? You managed to con everyone into believing your act—even yourself."
