Written in the exact same rough, heavy dark ink that had crossed out my presentation title were six short words: Gym basement storage. Midnight. Don't make me wait.

HOSEA ‘Dear Myles, its breezy today but this bloody sky– it’s still dull. My parents have been dragging my ass around for the whole day and I’m sure it’s going to fall off if I have to sit through another mindless banter. I’ve been missing you for so long and it hurts me to know I can’t be with you right now. I wonder what adventures you’re having without me. What’s Spain like this time of year? Is the sky also dull? Do birds fill the air? Do you smell the salt in the ocean so clearly? I envy you on some days more than others, today being one of them. I hope you come visit me soon. With love,

my eyes glance at the first word on the last two lines and say, “EN” “KAREN?” He calls out and I look up at him. “Yes?” I answer and I frown when I see him concentrating on the word without pressing the enter button. “No, I mean the word you just gave me is KAREN, as in your name.” I am still having a hard time understanding what he’s saying until I glance up and look at the arrangement of the poem, and then I understood and realise that it’s Karen. Then it hit me what I haven’t thought of since all the while. This is the World of Poetry and like William said earlier, he has always wanted to be a poet, but what I never asked was if he has tried writing any poem because from what I just saw,

The verses are a puzzle, a mosaic of meaning waiting to be assembled. With each line they read, the words etch themselves into the new character's mind, weaving a tapestry of insight and understanding. The weight of significance hangs in the air, like a heavy cloak of destiny that has been draped over their shoulders. Every phrase, every stanza seems to carry an echo of truth, hinting at a purpose that transcends the boundaries of their ordinary life.

Sometimes, I doubted myself, doubted if anyone would ever care about my words. But right now... right now, I felt alive. After typing the final line of a poem, I stretched my arms and smiled proudly, ready to close the laptop for the day. But just then — Ping! A new email dropped into my inbox. Curious, I clicked on it. And then my eyes widened. It was a publishing house — a real one! They had seen my small online posts and wanted to work with me, to publish my poems, to show my talent to the world!
