Mated to Rival Kings

Mated to Rival Kings

"Would you like to take a walk in the garden? The greenhouse is nice, but the outdoor paths are open to us today." "I’d love to," I said, closing my book. We walked out into the sun-drenched gardens. The air was crisp, but the sun was warm on my shoulders. As we walked, Darian began to talk about Southern poetry. "In the South, we believe that words have their own scent," he explained as we passed a row of blooming lilies. "We have poets who spend their entire lives trying to capture the feeling of the first rain after a drought. They use a structure called 'The Golden Verse'. It’s patterned, like a heartbeat."

FALLING FOR MY DAD'S BEST FRIEND

FALLING FOR MY DAD'S BEST FRIEND

My heart started to beat fast in my chest. How many times had she seen us at our worst? How much had we hurt her without even realizing it? Feeling overwhelmed, I turned to the next page and found a short poem scribbled in her neat handwriting. It was about stars, rivers, and memories. Reading her words, I felt a sense of peace and calm wash over me. It was as if Val was speaking to me through her poetry, reminding me of the beauty and wonder of life.

Her work at the local bookstore, once a mundane routine, now felt infused with a sense of meaning. She found herself drawn to the poetry section, her fingers tracing the spines of books she had never explored before. She discovered the delicate beauty of Emily Dickinson's words, the raw emotion of Sylvia Plath's verse, and the lyrical prose of Langston Hughes. Each poem, a window into a different soul, resonated with her own experiences, her own struggles and triumphs.

Poetry in Denounement

Poetry in Denounement

Not as kids you'd like to insult or punish for not knowing Behind every poem lies a story and a great take on the challenges Life offers the Poet. Through his poems he shall speak of truth and hope. In every magnum opus is a deep never-ending well of doubts, curiosity, fear and mission to be heard and seen. If you must write a poem, you must always take it easy, feel the atmosphere before you go ahead. If you are reading one now, I hope you could find answers beneath your questions, answered wishes and a person to talk to.

Bound by secrets, Broken by love

And, if I’m being honest, a little conflicted. “Do you write poetry?” he asks, casually. I blink. “No. Why?” “It’s calming. I do it all the time. You should try. It’s like therapy.” My brows arch as I turn toward him. “You write poetry? Like modern day Shakespeare?” He shrugs, lounging deeper. “When you put it that way, not really .Just... whatever pops into my head. I mean, anything can be poetry.” I lean forward. “What kind of poems do you even write? It’s kind of hard to picture you doing something so... artistic.”

Anna's Decision

Anna's Decision

'Really, I think there are people who want to reach immortality, or have it accepted. 'Well, all those shouldn't be your reasons. The companion has come closer, expressing your-self. The only reason you should write is because you need to. You know what Bukowski said, 'Don't do it.' The poem or story has to be for you without caring what anyone says.' I began to see nodding faces, including those of my two unexpected visitors, who were perhaps surprised at my approach. 'Okay, what topics is the poetry about?' A brainstorming followed, where some of the most typical ones emerged: human nature, love, death, the passage of time, suffering. In some cases it was po

"Which is exactly why I need to see your weak points so we could come up with a solution to help you get better." His blue-eyes scan the room. "Lost, love, hope. Good poetry isn't what we think, it is what one feels. You can't write a piece if it doesn't move you, make you feel. When it does-" For a shocking second Mr. Boyds lips tilted into a smile, as though recalling a good memory in his head. "Then that's good poetry."

I read this book in a matter of days. y'all Demiah13 does not disappoint when it comes to her novels. I literally wish they would make them movies. She can make you feel like you are right there with the characters. You get lost in their chemistry. I could not put this book down. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

-Lang Leav #PoetryDay" Nakaramdam ako ng pagkamangha sa'king mga nabasa so I liked one of the posts. How could they write things like that? Damang-dama ko ang bawat salitang ginamit nila. How could they express their feelings through writing? Nagbasa pa ako ng ibang poetry ng makatanggap ako ng message from unknown person. "Hi!" he said. "Hello," I replied. "Thanks for liking my poetry!" he told his gratitude. "You're welcome," I said. "Are you also a poet?" he asked me. "No..." I replied. "Why not?" he asked again curiously. "I don't know how to make one," I explained. "It's just your feelings th

A Night With The Billionaire Musician

It said, “An angel from the clashing winds above a tide, with folded wings waiting to fly in those unabated skies.” “Woah, do you write poetry? That’s-that’s beautiful!” I choked on the beauty of this perfect sentence which sounded a lot like poetry. I haven’t met a guy before who writes poetry or anything creative, so this was really baffling to me. "Have you written more poems?"

‘I will write to you,' she muttered briefly, Tilting her cheek for a polite kiss; Then walked away, nor ever turned about. ... Long letters written and mailed in her own head – There are no mails in a city of the dead. Robert Graves[6] Poets make maximum use of the language to achieve an emotional and sensory effect as well as a cognitive one. To create these effects, they use rhyme and rhythm and they also apply the properties of words with a range of other techniques such as alliteration and assonance. A common topic is love and its vicissitudes. Shakespeare's best-known love story Romeo and Juliet, for example, written in a variety of poetic forms, has been performed in innumerable theate
