Unexpected Divorce
She shrugged the jacket off my hands swift and decisive.
“It complements the dress,” I said
“I know it does,” Jessie said smugly. “Trust me.”
Before I could protest, Jessie loosened the bun at the back of her head, letting her hair fall free, then swept it over one shoulder with practiced flair.
“There,” she said. “Now let’s go.”
I had learned long ago not to argue when Jessie was determined.
