Jessa POV The gym was empty, save for me and my mates. My blonde hair was done in a braid that I then twisted into a bun at the back of my neck. In the pink sports bra and gym shorts I’d gotten last week when Jarek suggested he train me how to fight, I thought I looked cute. That, however, had been yesterday before going to bed. Today, with my braid coming undone and my pink clothes soaked through with sweat, I felt more like some monster that had dragged its sorry hide from the swamp to try to pretend to be human. She left without another word. … Nightfall came quickly. Jessie returned after a couple of hours with her makeup kit and a dress for me to wear. It was a gorgeous maroon dress with long sleeves that flared at my wrists. The dress also revealed my cleavage and pushed my breasts up, so they appeared bigger. She curled my hair, so it lay wildly around my face in large ringlets. She did my makeup, so I hardly even recognized myself. She did a nice job of disguising my face.

In her raspy, ancient voice, she instructed Elvie with an eerie grin.
