The Carrero Heart (series book 2)

The Carrero Heart (series book 2)

I grin picking up the food, throwing fluttering lashes of adoration at him with a grin. “I clearly do … I even bought you this.” Arrick pulls a bag from his jacket pocket, a flat, striped paper bag I don’t recognize and take it from him. Opening carefully, I realize it contains a wrapped cookie in rainbow colors with a sticker that reads. Magical Unicorn Cookie It’s a colorful, chocolate and candy stuffed cookie in supersize and looks like he brought it back with him from wherever they were today. My heart does a happy little skip and almost melts with the gooeyness of how incredibly cute he can be when I least expect it.

The Lycan King’s Treasured Luna

The Lycan King’s Treasured Luna

Beside it, a small mound of pickled greens lay nestled, their darkened leaves glistening with moisture, releasing a tangy, sharp aroma that piqued my curiosity and set my taste buds tingling. In a neatly crafted glass bowl, glistening pomegranate seeds sparkled like a treasure trove of tiny rubies, their deep crimson hues vibrant against the glass. The seeds nestled among a pool of their own juices. Off to the side rested a wedge of pale, creamy cheese, its surface adorned with a sprinkle of tiny lavender petals that lent an air of elegance to the dish. In a separate bowl, a vibrant medley of assorted fruits was displayed, with of course the bananas I had come to love.

This is a beautiful story. It goes through the ups and downs of love and shows that just the simple act of showing up at the right time can set your life on a better trajectory. I’d still definitely recommend every reader to brace themselves because your emotions will run rampant, haha ;)

I loved this book and it's characters. I love how there was no unnecessary drama that slowed the pace and didn't make sense like in other stories. And I loved the way that we got to see some of the same scenes from both perspectives. I'd love to read a sequel.

IT HAD TO BE YOU

IT HAD TO BE YOU

“Chocolate Chip Cookies. They have chips flavored in three kinds of chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter, and butterscotch.” She pulled a cookie from the folds of a napkin arranged to keep them warm. “They’re for the person who can’t make up her mind.” Mackenzie studied the cookie as Judi placed it in her hand. “Too bad you can’t do the same thing with men… bake them all into a single cookie, so you don’t have to pick just one.” With her eyes wide, Mackenzie stared at the older woman. “I don’t have any men to pick from.” Judi tucked a stray curl back into her scarf.

Falling for You

Falling for You

"Holy crap." "Just wait." I rub my hands together and sit up in my chair. The Cookie is a giant chocolate chip warm cookie with chunks of Reese's peanut butter cups baked in. It's served in a small cast iron skillet topped with a scoop each of vanilla and peanut butter ice cream. And if that wasn't enough, chopped peanuts, more Reese's, and drizzles of hot fudge cover the deliciousness. The rest of the desserts don't even matter as we pick up our spoons and dive in.

It was nice, since they couldn't afford to eat that well on their own. He'd also said that he'd help his grandma make these special cookies called ma'amoul which were stuffed with date puree. Scott made sure to get every bit of information he could on those, and passed them along to his dad. More cookies at Christmas was never a bad thing, and Scott was hoping it would be a nice surprise. He was looking forward to those, too.

Captivating story. I couldn't leave the book I wanted more and more to read about the amazing characters that the author created. I have all sorts of fillings chapter after chapter... anger frustration sadness but at the same time, I was smiling, laughing, and feeling love and warmth. Bravo.

Triplets For My Alpha

Triplets For My Alpha

I said. I could hear the soft crisp laughter from across the phone. "No problem. I'll still tell you anything." An hour later, I had made more lemon crinkle cookies than I expected. Rose, Jasmine and Violet had just gone through a series of nosebleeds almost simultaneously, so I made the cookies to make them feel better. They ate their fill, but there were still two jars left over. Gloria refused to eat more, suggesting I take the rest of the cookies to the packhouse. Well, it wouldn’t hurt to share.

Emerald (Book #1 of the Jewel Series)

Emerald (Book #1 of the Jewel Series)

He tells her. She lets out a squeal and does a little dance in her seat. I call it her happy food dance. I look around, and everyone is smiling at her. There is a sealed dish on her tray with something in it. She squeals again when she opens it. There are four large cookies with some type of cream in the middle. Nate asks Ms Amy what they are. I know for a fact that Ms Amy has just made a new best friend. The cookies themselves are chocolate mocha with raspberry almond cream filling. She pops the top back on and starts eating. I hear a growl, and we look over. Tyler is trying to get himself a cookie.

Eclipse of the Heart

Eclipse of the Heart

Then, she decided to bake some cookies to make her time productive and forget about her best friend atleast some time. Perhaps because of her feelings, she didn't realize that the cookies she was making were the flavor that Alcot wanted, peanut and almond mixed. She only noticed that when she was done and was about to put the trays inside the oven. She just shook her head and sat in a high chair, waiting the cookies to ready.

The Mafia Don's Obsession

The Mafia Don's Obsession

Proserpina “Mumma, can I help with those?’ demanded a persistent voice at my elbow, and I sighed. It was Tara. I had baked a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies for my boys who were home from their elite boarding school. But the entire batch I had baked the day before had been devoured. Now I sighed and turned to smile at Lou and Dom along with Tara, who had entered the kitchen. Tara came to me and began to help me. “Is it for Claude’s girl?’ asked Dom, who had no sense of decorum at times. I sighed. The boys were now almost as tall as me, as was Tara. “Help yourself, “I said drily, for I had seen the gleam in Dom’s eyes as he looked at the macaroons I had baked, the flavoured, delicate co

Something that looked like brownies caught my attention. "What are these?" "They are made with prunes I think. Your guess is as good as mine." I reached over to grab one. I was curious because of the dark color and rough texture. "These are made with breadcrumbs, not flour! Soo good!!" I ate the whole square. "Eat your food first! And why are you standing?" Marcus said in an authoritative tone.

This book is my kind of escape. The sequence of events and lifestyle are surprisingly accurate, the story is interesting at the same time with something new coming up every chapter. I definitely encourage well thought out books like this. Keep up the good work!
