She shrugged, unbothered, and tapped the screen.
“It’s just a story,” she said lightly. “It’ll disappear.”
Dennis lunged for the phone.

The upload circle completed.
Penelope rolled onto her side, satisfied. “There,” she murmured. “Now go back to being the guy who doesn’t care.”
