Practical Magic Book Novels & Stories

The old library was eerie quiet as she continued "Powerful spells are cast through rituals, and sacrifice. Nothing comes for free. Magic is give and take; these are fundamental knowledge." "But first we must test if we have a talent for magic." Brea tearing out a blank page and an old page with ancient language. "We will cast a simple spell. We will write words on this blank page with no hands." She tore more blank pages and shared it around until it got to me. "Place the blank page on the ground." We all obeyed simultaneously to her instructions "Chant after me...Scriverasiq~~§" We all repeated after her five times and the words began to appear on the blank pages.

Esmay said. "Right... Let me get to it." I said and took off my shoes, I took off my jeans and I was left with a long tank top and boy shorts. "Can you please give me the book?" I said to Tabitha and she gave it to me. I took a deep breathe and I went in the water, I walked in until the water reached my belly and I stopped. I took a deep breathe and I put the Grimoire in the water. As soon as the book touched the water I could feel the magic in the book, the book then sunk in and for a moment I thought that I might have made a mistake but then the water glowed. There was a bright light.

Noticing what she was looking, her dad smiled. "That is the symbol for alchemy in magick. This book is called Bnane's Book of Potions." Her dad said as he kept patting it as if the book was a little child or a favorite pet. "And only people with magick can open this book. All the special books can only be opened by the magick in our blood. Other normal books, about magick, about wiccan culture and symbols, now anyone can open it."

I wipe my tear with a finger. My mate is such a child; he can be protective, a playful pup, romantic in the wrong place, fearful, and emotional in a day. The rest of my life will never be boring. I saw Acro walking around the two and when she stretched her neck to squint at me, I lifted my thumb. What's more powerful than magic is words—a power that can soften the corrupted heart. Later on, one of the spellbooks levitates and the pages flip on their own.

Towards the back, I found more crystals and among them was the high-rank mana accumulator I was looking for. On my way to buy it, I noticed they had a small section of different books for sale. As I looked at what was for sale, I saw they were all to do with magic. Apart from one of them, one was a book on parenting, 'Babies first fire, a new parents guide for newborns. Is this a magic shop or a baby store? I'm glad Larry can't see what book I'm looking at; I just know he would tease me again if he knew...'

“That is why we are here, to get information about the raven magic. We must first know what your powers are before we can think about what your task is…” She ate quietly for a while, “Don’t you need any help Pa and by the way you need to eat breakfast…” “I can manage Cleopatra”, he answered, “Give me some time…” “Father, I insist you should eat first…” After a moment of hesitation Edgar joined her at the table and ate his meal. “Why don’t we use magic to find the book?”, she asked. “These books about old magic are not ordinary books, they have been made and sealed with magic, to protect it from those who seek to do evil. Our powers are useless against it”, he explained.

On the first page you can see some hand notes that said: “This book cannot be used by ignorant, nor by those who do not master the use of magic. It contains inscriptions translated from the language of those who were the founders of magic ... and maybe I misunderstood some lines... its use may cause big mistakes ... or even death." Johnny eventually managed to read these lines, but none of them seemed to be marked by what was written on the front page. So the boy closed the book and handed it to the girl. Elizabeth, unaware of the purpose of this book, took it along with the others she had under her arm.

The earlier I start, the closer I’ll get to leaving this place. I struggle to stand, my legs stiff from hours of sitting in one spot. “Ah,” I cry out softly, finding the light switch and turning it on. Damn. My eyes widen in disbelief. This place looks like an ancient library. The room is small, it belongs to a child, but the aesthetics tell me that the child studied endlessly. My fingers trail across the shelves, flipping through books one after another. These are limited editions, the rare copies. Then my eyes fall on a purple-colored book, and my mouth falls open. “My God!” I exclaim, lifting it carefully. “The Book of Magic.”

Basic Classes: Magical Philosophy — How to think like a powerful being. Forbidden History — Secrets no one else knows. Ritual Architecture — How to build magic spaces. Ethics & Corruption — What happens when you go too far. Bloodfire Combat & Binding — Duels, Contracts, loyalty, and power. The Art of Influence — Magic through words, emotions, or seduction. Each title stirred nostalgia in me. I felt like I knew them by heart. Beneath those, a smaller note had been scrawled in elegant script, likely Mistress Lune’s:

Even I’m surprised by my own insane courage, but I move toward the source of the crash. Stepping past a few shelves, I see a large, heavy book lying on the floor. My eyes are afraid—but my hands reach for it on their own. “A Magical Treatise on Curses and Other Influences on Subjects.” “I’ll be damned,” slips from my lips when I read the title. “I mean… thanks!” I glance around into the emptiness, but there’s no response—which is probably for the best, because otherwise I’d have definitely scared myself half to death.
