"The invitation was unnamed," I said.
"I don't know her name, sir."
"But somehow you believed that sending a letter out, unaddressed, it would, by some amount of sorcery, find its way to her?" I asked.
Barret remained silent.
"Well?" his father asked him.
"She works in the postal office, sir. I knew she would receive the letter."
My eyes narrowed at him.
"I would like to ask that we adjourn for lunch," Alpha Schneider requested.
