Chris was underneath Noah’s bodyguard, struggling with him as Noah started approaching them. Chris grunted and punched the bodyguard in the face. Blood escaped from his mouth. He overpowered the bodyguard and turned around, with the bodyguard against the floor this time. Chris stretched his hand toward his gun, which was a few feet away from him. He was grunting in pain with his hand on the bodyguard’s chest, pinning him to the spot. He reached for the gun and was about to grab it when Noah stepped on his hand with his boot that had spikes underneath it. The spikes were penetrating Chris’s skin, and it was making him bleed.

I'm not trying to kidnap you, or something."

She turned to him, took his hand, and coaxed gently, "I’ll be careful. I have bodyguards with me every day—nothing’s going to happen. “Besides, Peter’s banking on our firm to pull this project off. He wouldn’t dare try anything with me." That part was true. Peter had pinned all his hopes of a comeback on this restructuring.

With a shared goal, they put their rivalry aside and teamed up to target the project. Sure enough, as soon as the PB Project encountered a problem, news broke that Charles had landed in Vernon. Third person's POV The bodyguard moved with the speed and agility of a hunting cheetah, leaping over various obstacles on the rooftop, his hair whipping wildly in the fierce wind, and his clothes flapping loudly. His arms swung forcefully, each stride carrying a powerful impact, and just in the nick of time, he extended his thick, tightly muscled arm and grabbed Gloria's slender wrist with an iron grip. "Miss Bennett, please don't make things difficult for us. If anything happens to you, we won't be able to account for it to Alpha Leopold," the bodyguard said anxiously, his forehead veins bulging, and beads of sweat rolling down his cheeks.

She asked with her eyes widened and I immediately turned around, almost giving myself whiplash in the process. Behind me stood Jaxon, looking intimidating and elegant in his black suit. “I asked you to wait outside” I whispered harshly as I walked up to him. “I heard” He replied simply and I sighed. “Isla, who is this?” Serena asked as she stood behind me, her attention fully on Jaxon. “This is Jaxon, my bodyguard” I told her and she giggled. “Is bodyguard code name for fuck buddy?” She asked and I gasped. “Don't be ridiculous. He really is my bodyguard” I told her and her mouth dropped open.
