Once Upon a Tryst
While I cannot deny the way my blood races with her so close, held in my arms, I also cannot forget the look of pain on my mentor's face as she sits next to her wife every night, reading to her as she lies still in her coma, her child growing silently in her womb.
If anything, I should want to kill Queenie. I should want to see her tortured and abused.
And part of me does want all of that. But that doesn't change that I find her beautiful.
"Let me go," she threatens, her eyes ablaze with the black fire of a Fae Queen. I am no longer speaking to Queenie--I'm speaking to Mab.
"Good Evening, Queen of Darkness," I spit, my tone growing dark. "You really know when to spoil a moment."
