Naomi!” he chuckled. “Don’t mistake me, I am just curious,” she says. “But why you are asking this all of a sudden?” he asks, “Did anyone asked you?”

I stop typing to ask, “I don’t suppose you’d tell me your level of education, would you?” Jasper leans back and crosses his arms in response, which only makes his biceps look bigger, and my inner girl sighs in admiration. Who needs a guy with a brain? I could teach him to read in the morning. “No problem. We can get to that later.” I frown as I read the next question because I’m afraid to find out I’m not Jasper’s type. “Nod or shake your head for the following questions. You like a woman with intelligence.” Jasper offers a small nod as he stares at me. I keep my face expressionless and stare back.

Your answers will reveal your true character.”

“I want to understand you. Your intentions. Your character. Ian speaks highly of you—but talk is cheap. Actions matter.” I met his gaze evenly. “Fine. Ask your questions. I won’t lie.” A slow smile spread across his face, sharp and calculating. “Good. Honesty is rare. Most people falter when faced with me. Most stumble. You… I want to see if you’re different.”
