The water rushing down from the rocks is moving so fast it looks like white mist as it travels down the jagged rocks and boulders. In the light of the moon, the water looks luminescent, and the moss-covered rocks and boulders look like giant emerald gemstones. There’s no magic in this place, and yet it’s the most magical-looking thing I’ve ever seen. I watch as Sorrell carefully steps forward, her golden hair glowing in the moonlight as she takes in the sight before her.

Star crystals and moonstone chains put together glow at night and once a year, they grant me one wish," Ace definitely had feelings for her. It showed a raw rock, matte and opaque, glowing a deep, interior purple as if lit from within. “What… what is this?” Imani asked, leaning forward, breathless. The chunk of stone, opaque and faintly shimmering violet, pulsed on the screen as if alive. “That’s not gold,” Jade murmured, her voice trembling with fascination. “It’s something else entirely.” “It’s beautiful,” Imani whispered. “Dangerous is beautiful sometimes,” Jade replied, zooming in closer. “Celestium,” she read out, her voice barely a whisper. Imani reached out, her fingertips brushing the holographic image as if she could feel its texture.

But saying that out loud felt too vulnerable. “ I don’t know,” I mumbled, looking down at my hands. Rachel’s cheerfulness didn’t dim. “Okay, new plan!” she declared, pulling out a small, colorful pouch from her bag. “Mini makeovers! But just, like, fun stuff. I have this nail polish that changes color in the sun! And another one that glows in the dark! It’s completely pointless but also completely awesome.” She held up a tiny bottle of shimmering purple liquid. “What do you say? A little bit of sparkle to combat all this intensity?” She wiggled her own brightly painted fingers. “It’s, like, a scientifically proven mood booster. Probably.”

As the light hit the gemstone leaves, they reflected down on the glassy surface, like watercolor paint swirling along a damp canvas. Smoky rock formations formed along the back of the body of water, culminating into what looked to be a small cave. Actual crystals, carved in all shapes, jutted out from between the slabs of stone. Azrael pulled his t-shirt over his head with one hand, and just like that I no longer gave a crap about the magical paradise standing before me. No, I was too busy trying not to drool.

“What is it?” Paula asked her from the side. Zara pointed at the screen and showed her the shiny thing. “Look at here. Lucien was driving me out” She played the video of him driving her out and a sparkle appeared when they were passing the main gate. She froze the screen and pointed at the sparkle. “Look, Look here. Did you see the sparkle? It’s as if he put something on his hand but as long as I remember Lucien’s not a fan of accessories. It reflected because of the sunlight from the window and sparkled. I want to see what it is”

Deep sapphire points caught the light, throwing sparks of color everywhere. "These are... perfect," I whispered. My breath caught in my throat. It was a whole secret world hidden inside a plain old rock. "Not so mad now, are you, Princess?" Cain’s voice teased from the shadows. I narrowed my eyes at his silhouette, but I couldn't stop the smile from spreading across my face. "No more," I said.

Lucy held the stone up to the light, admiring the way it caught the moon's rays and reflected them back with an ethereal, otherworldly glow. The stone itself was a deep shade of blue, the color of the night sky just before dawn. Its surface was flecked with tiny specks of silver, like stars scattered across the heavens. As Lucy turned the stone over in her hand, she could see that it was not just a single shade of blue, but rather a spectrum of colors that seemed to shift and change with every movement.

Chapter 10 The screeching sound of the cotton blinds getting opened woke Vivian woke up from her sleep, and the sunlight that attacked her was unexpected. It looked like the intensity of the sun had tripled, only to blind her. "Who got the window opened? Get them closed!", She groaned in misery as she shielded her eyes from the sun with her heavy hands. The intensity of the light was adding more pangs to her throbbing headache. She'd forgotten that she usually had really hurtful hangovers after a night of drinking.
