We were from two different worlds. Throwing a clean shirt on, the little blond still on my mind, I look out the window of my room, admiring the greenhouses that stretched beyond the pack grounds. A gurgling croak of a bird stirs me from my inner thoughts, and I glance up to see a Raven perched on the thick but bare branch of a tree. It was a strange sight to see a bird this far from the mountains. But it was a good omen. In my original pack, Ravens were considered guardians. Keepers of the forest. They brought prosperity and wealth to the land. I hadn’t seen a bird in years, so I took the time to appreciate its presence before heading to the alpha's office.

Ragnar said, “If he couldn’t get strong enough, the old wolf would escape and live. We need to stay and finish the job.” “But if he got strong enough, he might be even stronger than us. It means he might be able to kill us too. You know that, right?” Raven said, slowly swinging his tail. Ragnar frowned. “Don’t tell me you are fearing losing a fight,” he said. “I am not,” Raven replied. He was a true warrior. He never felt fear. He was just worried. “She is still here, a little reminder for you,” Raven said, still swinging his tail slowly, and then asked, “Are you sure you are willing to risk her life too just because you want to get the old dog’s head on your own?”

“Someone is already drowning in front of us and you are all just watching?! What is wrong with you people?” “Drowning? She won’t drown unless she purposefully drown herself. She knows how to swim,” Raven answered back. “Help me! Please I don’t know how to swim!” Celia shouted back when she heard Raven’s words. Raven smirked. ‘Really? Let’s see about that,’ she thought to herself. “Bring out the baskets!” Raven commanded. Wren, Robin and two more others suddenly appeared from the crowd carrying covered wooden baskets. They are all Raven’s allies who work with him at the renovation project.

He started aggressively throwing his hands around obviously furious that we were even having this discussion. "God damn it Raven, you watched a shifter kill your brother during the first battle we ever faced together. You may have forgotten, but I remember the long nights I spent holding you trying to bring life back into your eyes. I am the one who was there for you not him!" he was screaming now his face was wrinkled his eyes pleading with me.

Still, I can't sit here and lie to myself that their lack of concern doesn't sting. But what's the use of sobbing over spilled milk? The room falls into silence for a moment. I had requested her to join Killer Angels and help Nyx manage the club.

Kent, an Alpha, probably tired and under pressure of taking care of his clans. He probably doesn’t get to enjoy the simpler things in life like the sunsets. So this was why my sister Marianna was sauntering around in her room in an orange dress which reflected back golden light when she moved, because Marianna was right, I always knew what these werewolves liked. The dress was perfect. Marianna looked perfect. Kent won’t know what hit him. “Mother,” I lazily called. When she didn’t answer I yelled, “Mother, get your butt up here now!”

After me pleading with him to let Raven come with us, he finally agreed. "Everyone ready?" Keith asked "Hell yeah. Let's go," Mark said. Keith blew his horn to let the two cars in front of us, which were filled with warriors, know we were ready to go. The warriors began to drive, and we followed behind them while waving goodbye to Nancy, Edward, and Mark's dad Max. "This is going to be so much fun. We get to go to the Red Moon Pack with the sexy twin Alphas," Raven said, causing Keith and Mark to roll their eyes.
