Before Lance could react, Ragnar lifted a finger and hooked it beneath his chin, forcing his head up so their eyes met. Lance’s breath caught in his throat. Up close, Ragnar was even more intimidating. His crimson eyes seemed almost unnatural under the dim light, sharp and cold. The color stood out harshly against his pale skin, giving him an eerie, almost glass-like appearance. Lance felt a chill crawl down his spine. He was terrified. And yet, his eyes couldn’t stop drifting, across Ragnar’s face, down the strong line of his jaw, the sharp angles of his neck and shoulders.

It felt more powerful, and the sensation scared me. I got up and walked the quiet dark halls to my office. “Hati,” I said the name to myself as I sat down and opened the laptop. The different pages available all basically said the same thing. Sköll and Hati were the wolf children of Fenrir, chasing the sun and moon, which they would devour during Ragnarök, the end of days, the end of the world. Why was Hati coming for my son? Didn’t Ragnarök already happen? If I had more information at my disposal, I might have asked the goddess different questions. She summoned me, I had no idea how to go back to where I was and something told me not to try.

They felt this biting coldness too, but hadn’t gotten time to check where that anomaly came from. “What’s going on?” Orion asked with a frown. Elena replied, “It’s snowing outside.” Orion exchanged a look with his wife and then went back to change their clothes. Ragnar held Elena’s hand and went downstairs. Raven’s wolf instinct detected nothing dangerous, suggesting the snow outside should be harmless and “natural”. Still, Ragnar decided to go outside alone. “Wait here for me, okay?” He said to Elena in a gentle tone and then printed a kiss on her lips.

It seems like he has gathered a lot of information. "We're going to need strong coffees, Ragnar. We have a lot to talk about," Ramiro smiles sideways, not surprising Ragnar at all. After what he saw from Jarl Fenrisson, he knows he can't expect anything good from this report. He picks up the internal phone and asks Octavio to bring some cups of black coffee. “You have no idea what I discovered, this is going to leave you dumbfounded.” Ragnar opens the first folder and looks at his friend with furrowed brows.

I ask, completely confused at the weird change of topic. “You never asked what my name was, after your consumption with Natalie.” Oh shit. That is true I can't believe I forgot about that. Ragnar. “Ragnar,” I say out loud. “That sounds like a strong name.” “It is. It is an old name. It means Judgement,” he explains. “Judgment,” I echo. I let the name resound around in my head. Ragnar. Judgment. “I like it. It's a good name.”

There's no way I can fight in this condition. Without realizing it, Fenrir wakes up after passing out. His rapid regeneration has helped him to the point where he has some feelings in his legs. He concludes that enough time has passed that the demon should be long gone by now. He reaches up and just barely manages to press the button to open the door. As the door opens, the remains of the elf can be seen. Blood covers a large portion of the area, the elf was ripped to pieces, its head detached from its body and the rest of it in a mangled mess with its guts spilling out onto the floor.

She pressed her palm to his chest and opened the configuration and read what was there. What she found was not a surprise and was also not what she expected, the two things coexisting in the specific way that truth always did when you had been carrying incomplete information about someone. Ragnar's fundamental frequency was not cold. It ran warm at the root level, the specific warmth of something that had been contained for so long it had been mistaken for its container. He had not been cold. He had learned to perform cold because warm had cost him things he could not afford to lose when he was young.

It was in this battle that the world snake fell, and Fenrir disappeared. Sutur was reduced to rocks, and every other being of chaos was trampled. This was the first appearance of Ragnarok.” “Oh?” Mane chuckled, his interest piqued. “What is Ragnarok?” he asked, for this was the first he was hearing of this. “The war of the gods,” Reiki replied simply.

They both turned and looked at me, the expressions on their faces making it seem like they had seen a ghost or something. "Then solve the argument and pick for us again," Luca said, holding up the DVDs they had been arguing over. It was a choice between Thor or The Avengers. I had never seen either film but had always wanted to so I knew the perfect way to settle the argument which would make the both of them happy. "Let's watch them both. We can spend the rest of the day watching them and pigging out," I grinned because I hadn't done this with them in a while. I had always solved the argument for them of which film to watch but that's all I had done.
