“This time, he’s mine.”
I met the shadow’s eyes — red, cruel, defiant.
“You don’t belong here,” I said. “You never did.”
He smirked. “You called me.”
“Maybe,” I said. “But I’m calling you out — for the last time.”
Light surged from my hands, searing through the air, slicing into the darkness. Aaron screamed, his voice shattering into a thousand echoes before fading into nothing.
When the circle dimmed, I fell to my knees. The room was silent, except for my ragged breaths.
