Grace's POV. "Mommy... mommy... you have to wake up now..." His voice floated into my dream like birdsong, slowly lulling me away from an almost perfect dream. We were all together, Meghan wasn't dead, she didn't hate the pack, Rhyder or Ronin, and we were all happy. "Mommy, come on. Sleepy time is over now. We have a very big surprise for you..." The birdsong quickly turned more peraistent and I reluctantly decided to pull away from that peaceful and happy place known as sleep.

“As I told you, you won’t stand a chance so long as I’m here.” Keeping my head down, I let out a bitter smile. Out of nowhere, three crisp slaps rang up. Snapping my head up, I saw the familiar silhouette at the entryway. The long-absent voice of the System boomed. “Congratulations, Player. Your target’s affection has reached 100%. You have unlocked a Happy Ending.” Patrick bolted to his feet. Throughout the hall, mobile alerts started chiming one after another. Someone among the crowd exclaimed, “Look at the news!”

She looks like a feral cat ready to pounce, and I try not to inhale her scent as I walk past, and take my seat at the other end of the table. Dad, Alex, and Brad fill the remaining seats, and everyone waits for me to address the room. “Guinevere,” I call out to my mate, my eyes not quite meeting her face as I look past her, unable to meet her eyes. “You previously submitted a request to my father to leave the Blue Moon Pack once you turned eighteen. Realizing I’d discovered her secret, that she was barren, her fake act dropped. “What are you doing here?” she spat. “You must be thrilled seeing me like this, aren’t you?” I said nothing. She took my silence as agreement and let out a bitter laugh. “Hahaha! You idiot. You think you’ve beaten me, but it doesn’t matter. Your good days are numbered!” I raised my phone and showed her the screen. “Maybe. But yours are already over.” I pulled up the screenshot of Susan throwing out her belongings and smirked.

They watched. The Unbound Triad had risen. And nothing would ever be the same.

Third Person POV As soon as Lucas and his men cleared out of the court, the spell that had held everyone frozen in terror finally broke. The gymnasium erupted with movement as everyone else began to leave as well, desperate to escape the space that had just been the scene of such a frightening confrontation. The sound of footsteps and nervous conversations filled the air, replacing the tense silence that had dominated just moments before.

“Any rules?” He shrugged before replying. “I believe we are all mature. No expensive play that’ll possibly cause drowning and violence is prohibited.” Bobbing my head to show I understood, I returned my gaze to Maxwell, cracked my head and fingers before exclaiming. “Let’s begin!” “I’m going to show y’all who is boss,” Maxwell screamed and hauled himself onto the Unicorn’s back, causing it to dip violently. He windmilled his hands and stayed on. “And that's how it's done.”

“I want to throw a huge party. To tell everyone that I’m back. And to tell everyone…” I paused, rising onto my toes to press a soft kiss to his lips. “To tell everyone how much I love you.” A huge grin spread across Caleb’s face. He captured my lips, deepening the kiss with an excitement he couldn’t contain. “Yes,” he breathed, his voice hoarse. “Anything you want. If you wanted the moon, I would pull it from the sky for you.” “We’ll have the biggest party ever. I want the whole world to know that my Aurora is awake.”

She asks. “Yes. What do I have to do?” She steps back. “Just accept what I freely give to you.” She says before putting the end of her horn against the middle of my forehead. Instantly, I begin to see images, flashes of a life. Hundreds of unicorns running through the forests. A flourishing life that suddenly changes when humans begin hunting them for the magic in their horns. I see images of slain unicorns, their horns cut off mercilessly, some animals still alive, dying slowly as they bleed out from their wounds. The images switch and now the unicorns are hiding, running from the hunters. I see a unicorn, as beautiful as Lucero leaning toward me. “Run to the Fae King. He will protect you.

I waited, wondering if a pretty pink pony with a glittery horn was going to walk through the door next. I loved unicorns. My creative little illusion kept talking, "When we emerge, the mated pairs will rub against our skin. Don't worry. It's only the same-sex. Females to you and males to me." Of course, it's only the same sex. That's logical, I maniacally agreed, and asked casually, "And why would the mated pairs want to rub the cum off our bodies?"
