"This book was once written by a king from a very long time ago when many religions were in the making; the king was a sage and very intelligent. He wrote things in his book that were ahead of his time. The Saints and the preachers didn't understand and thought of him as a monster. He had a son and a wife. When his reign was brought down by the people who followed different religions and was unable to handle the truth that was written in the book, they murdered him, but his wife and some of his people preserved this book."

he answered, and this just made me even more curious to ask him more questions. “Even though you can order it, but then it would take days for it to get here and you need it right now, so you had to come here,” I answered, giving him an explanation, and he nodded in agreement, immediately locking in. “What’s the name of this book?” I asked, and he swallowed. “Just an old classic historical romance book; Rebellious Love by Maura Seger,” he answered, and I slowly nodded. “Okay then,” I said as I took slow steps away from him.

Eve pointed to a small stack of books on top of the shelf in the corner of the room. “Which one would you like?” He asked Eve as he picked up the books. “My mommy and me.” Eve answered. That one was her favourite. Lincoln flicked through the books until he found the one with a bear on the cover with a little cub with My mommy and me. Eve scooted over and patted the bed beside her. Lincoln went and sat on the spot Eve made for him.

The only thing I had with me when I was captured. I flipped the pages open going through my rough sketches. Mostly scenery of what I could remember from before the pet store, which granted, wasn’t a lot. As I kept going I found a sketch of Amethyst. Just a portrait I drew, and a few doodles. The book wasn’t very full, but the amount of time I could get my hands on a pencil or a pen was rare. I kept scanning pages, when I saw movement in my doorway and looked up. Rowen was standing there with his arms folded leaning on my door jam. I had no idea how long he had been there.

I only have a basic photo up, trying to look as professional as possible, with a clear note that I'm an intern. After a beat, Reagan stands and crosses to her bookshelf. "I have a book I want you to read, and this is my journal." She pulls out two books. "I've kept notes on this profession from my own experience; it's about eight years' worth." She comes back over and hands them to me. "I'd like them back when you're done," she adds. "Thank you," I breathe, stunned by the kindness, but these books aren't why I'm here. "Reagan, I actually wanted to ask you something."

His gaze went from shelf to shelf. "We are looking for something," Fierdin answered, doing the same. "What is that?" "A book is the goal of our search." "What kind of a book?" "A very rare book, some might say, impossible to find. We are searching for clues. Maybe, we will finally solve the mystery about the Ritian wars." "There are a lot of mysteries surrounding it." "There are, true." "What mystery are we searching for?" "Do you know the story about King Hjolt?" "Yes. There are parts missing."

Is it just me or did my brain not seem to understand what RE-ESTABLISH meant anymore? Come to think of it, why on earth would Riven have a book like this? "Could it be...?"

Reagan began. "During cremation, something happened," He went ahead to explain in detail all that happened when he burnt the bodies of the attackers. Everyone listened with shock, panic, and attention. "During my research, I came across this..." He reached into the folds of his tunic and produced a worn leather-bound book, "The Ashkai," he declared, enjoying their reactions. At least, they all felt just how he felt when he found out. "These are myths, Reagan," Kellan scoffed, waving his hand dismissively, "And even if we were to believe this, how did they come about? And why attack our pack?"
