CHAPTER 27 As you brave your way in this evil forest, you must stay alert. Keep your eyes open for the signs that others do not see. You will likely become lost, and doubtless you will find yourself getting deeper into the secluded parts of this evil haunted forest, a forest with all kinds of ghosts, black sucking creatures, they are all hungry, hungry and angry for revenge. Hungry for your fresh brain, yes, hungry for your warm blood, soft tissues from your body, but take heart, as this is only bringing you closer to your goal.

And finally finally they reached the far end of the chamber where an old, rusted emergency hatch waited. Romeo shoved it open. Fresh air hit them. Real air. Night air. The outside world. They stumbled out just as the chamber behind them gave one final, monstrous groan and the entire facilty collapsed into itself. The ground shook for nearly a full minute. Jessica held Aurora tight, staring as dust rose like a mushroom cloud. Romeo stood beside them, chest heaving. After a long silence, he said quietly: "The Revelation Room was only the first layer. Whatever they were hiding down there... we haven't even scratched the surface".

He presented the video he recorded right away. From the video, we could see that Selena first intended to push me down the stairs. Nevertheless, my retaliation made her fly into a rage. While we struggled, she lost her footing and fell, suffering the consequences of her very own evil plan. Selena had a moment of revelation. She pointed at Zachary and yelled angrily, "You're an asshole! You didn't leave at all! You were just waiting to record the video!" Peter closed his eyes and shouted, "Shut up!"

Rebecca's laughter echoed. "The game's far from over." Kael's smile grew. "Ruth's true potential is unleashed." Orion's eyes locked onto Ruth. "You're the key to reshaping reality." Erebus nodded. "The Legacy's secrets are yours to command." Ruth's eyes blazed with determination. "I'll forge my own destiny." The chamber trembled as Ruth's power surged. Reality's fabric began to unravel. Ava stepped forward, her eyes locked onto Ruth. "Stop this, Ruth."

Our pack was the most peaceful, literally. I finished the small ritual, Aella's skin changed a bit in the coffin, and she was kept in the already dug earth. This time, women wailed, children screamed at the top of their voices, not because they knew who Aella was, but the sight of a burial ground may have irritated them. I mean, it was a long time ago since we dug up the earth to bury a wolf. I walked to my room with my bride as a guilty feeling washed me from head until toe from my insides. The thoughts of Aella resurrecting from that grave made my toe curl, and I managed a smile when Lenna watched me. “Is anything the matter?”

A transparent wave of energy appeared, as if it would engulf anything in its path. Slowly, Ernie's face changed; fangs protruded from his mouth. His eyes suddenly enlarged, his ears sharpened, and his body turned red like burning coal. Suddenly, Ernie's body seemed to split in two from the forehead to the lower abdomen and fell to the ground. The insides of his body looked messy, blood splattered, and… it was very gruesome. Ernie's body suddenly turned black and smelled like a rotting corpse, making the stomach churn.

My release must have thwarted whatever plans she had up her sleeves, else she wouldn't be so frustrated. If she had paid the wardens to kill me, why did they release me? Who was behind all of these? I needed answers. “Wait a minute, mother! Who did we bury?” Margaret asked. “If this bitch is still alive, that means we buried the wrong person,” she said as she gasped. “They sent the wrong corpse, mother,” she cried out. Margaret's eyes widened in panic and horror. “What's going to happen now, mother? Lexi was supposed to be dead. Our plans can't work out now that she's hear,”

In the depths of despair, a resistance coalesced, its members bound together by a shared determination to defy the tyranny of the hybrid and his malevolent consort.
