Vivian rolled over her small sized bed for the umpteenth time, she was so exhausted cause of yesterday's event and all she needed now was to sleep on her soft bed and don't give a damn about the world but not until something hit the back of her head

I shouted at the figure, upset that my solace had been taken from me. I reached out to grab the bottle, but the person gently pushed my hand away. I tried to focus, watching as they inspected the bottle. Then, I felt a terrifying gaze lock onto me, sending a shiver down my spine. Despite my intoxicated state, I instinctively felt fear and swallowed the words I had wanted to shout. Instead, I muttered weakly, "If you don't want to give it back, then don't... There... there are still so many here. I'll go get more..."

” I squint my eyes, a hiccup emitting at the end of my question. I think I need to get the hell out of this place. I drank much more than I should have. My belly is churning, giving a stringent warning to more alcohol. I begin pulling myself up at an intoxicated, swaggerific pace, but I am pinned down before I even make it to my feet. The heck! The moron leans in, burning my face with his intoxicated eyes. They have nothing special in them, or maybe the betrayal that I just suffered has turned me into a cold fish.

The room felt too quiet after the car music, so I grabbed a bottle of whatever cheap shit was on the counter and took a long swig straight from it. It burned going down and I welcomed it. Burned almost as much as my face.

I drank straight from the bottle, the burn sliding down my throat and spreading fire through my veins. One long pull after another until the room tilted and the edges of my vision softened. Ava didn’t come home that night. The hours stretched into silence, the city lights outside the window blurring into streaks of gold and red. I passed out on the floor sometime after midnight, the necklace still clutched loosely in my fist.
