Tyler could disregard his family's reputation, but I couldn't. It wasn't like he was the only single man in the Stone family anyway. Over the past seven years, I'd become someone's wife and mother. If not for Tyler suddenly returning, I would've forgotten all about it. And so, I was completely unaffected by this reunion. I said calmly, "I'll say this once more—you and I are not married, Tyler. Legally speaking, you're dead. That's why it's none of my business who you want to marry."

She doesn't even feel nervous and all the jingles that she is standing between torn and roses. She has two choices, wear the torn or grab the rose. Life is full of surprises. She shut her eyes and imagined him to be Justin, and held his hand tightly as they walked to the secret garden where the Reverend and the two witnesses were already waiting for them.

“The Vein doesn’t just obey. It tests you. One wrong move and—” “I know,” Avery interrupted, eyes fixed on a strand of deep violet energy, darker than the rest. It wriggled and pulsed like a living serpent. “But this… this is what it wants me to see.” She extended her hand, letting the thread coil around her fingers. Visions flared in her mind: a human family torn apart by an unclaimed death, a soldier lost in a battle centuries ago, a reaper long vanished from memory. Each vision whispered its story, raw and unfiltered.

POV: Selene The Mirror of Threads was not still tonight. It pulsed — slow, relentless — as if it shared a heartbeat with something far below the mortal sky. I stood alone in the Chamber of Looms. Even the high moons beyond Solara’s glass ribs seemed to hold their breath, their silver faces dimming in anticipation. I felt it before I saw it — a tightening in the weave, the threads whispering in a tongue older than the gods themselves. Something inevitable was about to happen.

She shifted slightly. The warmth felt strange after the cold loneliness of the night. Her eyes fluttered open slowly.For a moment, she forgot where she was. The soft light, the quiet morning, the birds outside it almost felt normal. Almost peaceful. Then reality crashed back into her heart. Her chest tightened. She pushed herself up slowly, her body sore from sleeping on the hard floor. Her eyes went to the door. Still closed. Locked. And empty. He wasn’t there. Aviraj hadn’t come back. A strange mix of relief and fear twisted inside her. Relief… because the monster wasn’t there to control her.
