He placed it on the desk and slid it toward Ryder with a smile. “I thought you’d want proof.”

, Xavier pushed her hair to the side and cradled her head gently. “Little one, we’re so sorry”, Xander added, feeling relief that she was perfectly safe but the feeling of failing their mate was still strong. Selene was exhausted and didn’t even stir. “Xavier stay with our mate while I secure the house”, Xander took off to look for any signs of Ridley. “This was too easy, where is that creep”, Xander says to himself. He searched the house and when he got to the last room on the second floor he saw Ridleys stiff body on the floor.
