Rinmaru Tempest Novels & Stories

My body is numb and trembling greatly as my mind is bridled with a searing flow of memory clips that seem to encompass an unknown emotion I’ve never truly felt before, but it’s jarringly familiar to me. ‘Himari!’ Runa’s alarm is merely a whispery voice as deafening sparks begin to issue haphazardly around me. Blasting thunderclaps, the heavy whirling of icy wind, the shrieks of the various creatures inhabiting this forest, and the whipping of tree branches and incessant showers of leaves...it’s all so clear, so pellucid in my honed senses as my teeth begin to grind and face scrunch up. Rage, one so raw and refined. This is...anger?

Finrir's hand acted as a visor, allowing him to gaze around at the awe-inspiring sight before them. Tritan couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions seeing Finrir react to the dazzling light. His admiration for Finrir's resilience grew even stronger as he observed his determination to overcome the temporary blindness caused by the intense brightness. Tritan's own appreciation for the simulated sun and the thriving environment filled with rows of magnificent Pinna nobilis and living coral reefs was magnified through Finrir's reaction.

With rabid intensity, the second gangster makes a stab with the small butterfly knife towards Rina’s heart. The minute hand of her watch slips to 4:26. The Ravens turn the nose of their jet formation towards Septimus. They slam against him as a wave and his outstretched wings take the brunt so they dent and billow. I can see where the solid black deluge hits the reaper and then arcs, but the immediate spot behind him where Rina’s lying remains untouched. At the same time, Rina’s would-be murderer is freaked out to see the knife stopped by some invisible magical vest. He drops the weapon, jumps to his feet and flees as though poltergeists were at his heels.

I was dreading coming here and feeling so out of place. A tall, handsome man walked up beside Roman. Their build and height was almost identical but there features were completely different. This man had dark blonde hair, combed back off his face. His beard was very short and well maintained and I could see the outline of tattoos around his neck. I glanced up at his face and found him staring deep into my eyes. He also had blue eyes, but not like Roman’s. His were electric blue, the kind that you could look into all day long.
