Alpha’s Little Plaything
“Me? Oh, Draco, don’t be paranoid. If your precious girl can’t handle a tiny hiccup, maybe she’s not ready for this world.”
My wolf roared inside me, snarling for blood.
And then Loriah spoke.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” her voice rose, steady and strong, silencing the crowd, “since there is this beautiful piano here, and there are some technical problems tonight, I’ll take the opportunity to sing for the first time my next single.”
The audience burst into applause. She sat at the piano, fingers poised, and began.
Raw. Pure. Heartbreak wrapped in music.
The notes cut through me like glass, my chest aching as her voice cracked with emotion. A single tear slid down her cheek, and I nearly lost it.
