Roman said, shoving his hands into his pockets. Fabiano grinned. “It’s called brotherhood, Bella. We insult each other, we drink, and occasionally, we save each other’s asses.” Roman’s mouth twitched despite himself. “You’ve never saved mine.” “Ah, but I have,” Fabiano countered with mock seriousness. “Milan, 2019. That scandal with the heiress and the champagne fountain where you were caught with your…” Roman’s voice dropped an octave. “Finish that story, and I swear…”

Roman's pov. I stand outside the door and listen to Scarlett list the qualities she feels would be good in a woman for me. She speaks about the height difference between me and this lady not being too much, but if she stands in front of me, her head at least reaches my collarbone. In heels, I might be able to place my chin on her head and nestle her there as I wrap my hand around her waist. “She also has to be brave and fierce. Roman is an action man. He sees something in need of doing and he does it. He needs someone who won’t pull him back, but who’ll also be brave enough to be the voice of reason when he needs one.”

Imade dropped the dress she was holding and she threw on her former clothes before she grabbed her phone and she walked out leaving them in a pin drop silence. “You are the cause of the disrespect to me, you let her embarrass me out there. She called me a common aide, she referred to me as a mere servant. Romero, I’m your best friend. I’m the woman you love so much. Why are you doing this to me, to us?” Arianna asked with tears pooling out of her eyes and Romero only rubbed her back in circles. He had no idea what to say to her or to do to the said woman. He isn’t growing younger and he needs the whole mafia circle to believe in him. He wouldn’t be allowed to take over his father’s position

~Rosemary~ “How did you get here?” I said, walking over. He turned around and smiled. “I have my ways, princess. Sure your security tried to keep me out, but I am Angel Roman. No one can stop me.” “I see…” I rolled my eyes at him as a cleaning lady walked down the hallway. As soon as she disappeared into the elevator, I pointed at Angel. “I don't have the time or energy for your nonsense today. Please leave!”

“The man you kissed on the dance floor. Do you know who he is?” “Um…he’s a web developer.” “Oh. A web developer.” The sarcasm that twists his lips has me confused. Mason circles the beam slowly until he arrives in front of me once again. The air around us is heavy with tension. “Axel Roman is a romancer for the Italian mafia.” My pulse drops. “What?”

Usually, they lied. But Ramsey didn’t. “Yes,” he said at last. “All bad things.” The honesty hit me harder than any insult could have. “I’ve heard you’re controlling Roman. That you’re a very bad woman.” His voice was steady, unembellished, like he was reciting facts from a list. “That you turned him against his own family. That you’re with him because he’s rich. That you're forcing him to marry you.” Each sentence struck like a measured blow. I stood still, towel clutched tighter around my body, forcing myself not to react—not to interrupt, not to shield myself from the truth being laid bare so plainly.

he says. I sit up right and stand dusting invisible lint off my jacket, great here comes the fun part. I motion Marco forward, “Surely you taught your son that nothing comes free in life”. Marco clears his throat and looks towards his children, his expression grim and tone deep when he says, “In return of Roman’s gracious decision we will need to pay it back” his voice fills with deep remorse when he turns towards Elena and says, “You will be marrying Roman Russo”.

I ask Rowan. He smiles. “Angelica Rossi is in front of the compound…” he tells me. I nod. “Get a team there…” I tell him. He nods. “Already on it.” He says. "The bitch has to pay for that she did to Marcello and to Amara!" Arianna Romano is a spit fire. People often forget just how terrible the woman can be. And it works in our favor. Dante Romano crosses his arms and eyes us. "Ari calm down. I’m sure the Priest boys know what they’re doing. And they’re going to make her pay for her sins. Right?" he asks.

Bianca yelled, yanking Alaric’s arm. Roman let out a cocky laugh, showing his bloody teeth “See? She still loves me. I told you. We don't have to do this” “You are still talking?” Alaric growled. “You'll have to cut off my tongue then,” Roman said with a smirk. “The Roman guy, is it?” Alessandro’s eyes narrowed. Bianca nodded. “How the hell did he get in here? Who let him past security?” Alessandro asked. “She called me over, She said we needed to talk…isn’t that right? Tell them, Bibi”
