The stepbrother I ran from is my new professor.

Edward handled most of them while I restocked shelves and learned the layout. Around two, a woman came in looking for a specific dark romance. "Do you have anything like Butcher & Blackbird?" she asked. "I just finished it and I need something similar." Edward looked at me. "Maliya?" I stepped forward. "Have you read Haunting Adeline? Or the Broken Bride series? They've got similar dark romance vibes with morally gray love interests." Her face lit up. "I haven't read either of those. Where are they?" I led her to the romance section, pulled both books, gave her quick summaries.

The Nouveau-riche Romance

The Nouveau-riche Romance

Kathy finally letting him stay in one place without the constant fraternizing from table to table gave Asher a chance to take in the room. There was no shortage of people seated at the tables, ingesting the fare before them. There were others to the side of the hall socializing with new acquaintances or catching up with old friends. Needless to say, there's a considerable amount of chatter floating around the room. Yet Asher found that to get the really important discourse you have to be around or at the bar. After all Imbibing on spirits always loosens the lips. And so here he was standing close to the bar in a conversation with the group Kathy abandoned him with. A certain item captured hi

Contracted to the Ruthless Billionaire

Contracted to the Ruthless Billionaire

One evening, as Alexander and Emma sat on the beach watching the sunset, he pulled her close. “Our story started with a contract,” he said. “Maybe theirs will too.” Emma kissed him softly. “Or maybe they’ll write something even better.” Their love had endured fifty years. It had survived scandals, rivals, children, and time itself. Now it watched proudly as a new generation prepared to discover that some contracts — the ones written by the heart — were the most binding of all. The Black legacy was not just wealth or power. It was passion. It was surrender. It was love that refused to end

Romance in The Mansion

Romance in The Mansion

Aaron Eden Noir always smelled like money. Dark liquor. Hot perfume. Secrets that didn’t want to stay secrets. And me? I just poured drinks. “Table four wants another round of the Noir Special,” Mira called from across the bar, balancing a tray with the grace of someone who’d been born doing this. “And stop glaring. You look like you’re planning murder.” “I might be,” I muttered, tossing ice into a shaker. “If one more drunk man asks me if I ‘play for both teams,’ I will commit a crime.”

BACKSTAGE ROMANCE.

BACKSTAGE ROMANCE.

I froze, trying to process this novel, unexpected experience, while Jeff panted above me. Early exposure to a particularly unfortunate strain of commercial p**n had discouraged me from ever trying this before. Said p**n involved straight guys who were perfectly willing to let their carrot be waxed by another man for money, so long as they didn't have to do any of the dirty work themselves. So rimming had become synonymous in my mind with a particularly submissive (okay, guilty as charged, but, please!) kind of guy who'll do anything to get a man off without expecting any reciprocation.

The CEO Who Won’t Let Me Go

The CEO Who Won’t Let Me Go

“If it’s the one person who makes your heart race and your blood feel like it’s on fire, then yes. Common sense doesn’t stand much of a chance.” “But what if that person is the worst possible choice?” I asked. “What if he doesn’t respect her, doesn’t love her back, treats her like crap?” “Why are you so worked up?” She snatched the book out of my hands and glanced at the cover. Then she snorted. “Oh. I get it now. You’ve been reading again. A historical romance? Honestly, that’s still an improvement over those creepy occult books you used to read. What, you didn’t like the hero?”

The Alpha Assassin

The Alpha Assassin

“Here,” Ezra said, sliding something soft and familiar into my hands. My cheeks were flushed, and I forced myself to look at what he handed me. It was a dark leather book that was titled ‘The History of The Betas of Black River.” I recognized this book from the library; it never seemed important enough to even skim through, though. I raised a brow at him, waiting for him to explain.

Great story! Very well written with a strong main character and storyline. Well developed characters that you can sympathize with and dislike their actions at the same time. Would be awesome if there was a prequel story and just waiting on the sequel. Mar 27/24

Such a refreshing read!!! STRONG female lead. This was so different and so insanely satisfying. It has everything, drama, love, friendship, rebuilding. You’ll laugh and cry and go on an emotional roller coaster but it’s worth it. I’m going to re read it now
