If Only He Knew | cσмρℓεтε∂

I am his best friend who has been in love with him for fifteen years when I should be using this time to get over him. I patted the sofa, dusted the shelves and put my books in a row. I am a bibliophile and a strong one at that. Sherlock Holmes and Augustus Dupin are by far my most favourite ones, me being a fan of mystery thrillers. I am such an addict of criminal profiling that I actually have list and screenshots of wanted criminals or serial killers on my phone. Serial killings were always my favourite ones, as they have something In common and it always piqued my curiosity as to why there are still serial killers like Jack the Ripper or Stripper on lease. I guess not

This book is so good, it makes you want to laugh, keeps you at suspense and makes you emotional at the same time. Loved the characters, each have drastic original personalities. Though the book started kind of simple and too cliche at first, it turned out to be one of my favorite reads on GoodNovel!

Aaron

Aaron

It seemed to slow the Vampire down, but he wasn’t going to be defeated that easily. The waves crashed against them, occasionally forcing them beneath the surface of the salty water as they struggled, but the East River could claim neither of them, and as Aaron tightened his grip on the Vampire’s waist, he could feel his opponent’s strength begin to fade. This man had killed at least a dozen people, maybe more, over the last three years. He’d mutilated, slashed, dismembered, and decimated the bodies of each of his victims. They’d been too late to stop him from murdering the woman he’d disappeared with tonight, but Aaron was certain this particular Vampire would never have the opportunity to k

A Bear's Mirrored Romance

A Bear's Mirrored Romance

With the spaces marked, they both began signing the documents. “Other problems arose when discoveries of the deaths of non-family members in the area. A few, but the numbers of bodies added up. Most happened in the woods around the estate. Hunters, trappers, lumberjacks, and fishermen are mostly made up of the victim list. When news of Jack the Ripper hit these shores, the gossip fluctuated between animal attacks and a serial killer. Now the theories point to the family or a supernatural creature. I’m afraid I can’t tell you what creatures they believe could commit these murders. I believe none of these ideas make sense.” “That’s insane. Do you think the workmen encountered whatever it’s tha

The Vampire Prince Obsession

Anger was clear on his expression but there was hopelessness present too. “The Ripper. They’re meeting Jack. We need to go now.” … “May I offer you anything to drink, milady?” Jack asked the girls as they sat on the red couch in his office. More like a living room with a mini bar on the side, huge velvet red sofa, and a table for his work matters. Rosa shook her head and just stare at the legendary serial killer that once terrorize London. Thank God she was no prostitute.

THE BILLIONAIRE’S SEDUCTRESS

THE BILLIONAIRE’S SEDUCTRESS

“During 1893 of February, Henry G. Dowd explicitly committed the same crime as his. 7 drunk men that were killed without mercy.” [By 1894 people stopped looking for Jack the Ripper in New York although several arrested murderers were described very explicitly as Ripper-style killers. One example from February 3, 1894: “Only a little over two years ago Henry G. Dowd rivaled the fiendish Jack the Ripper by slashing seven intoxicated, but inoffensive men in the Fourth Ward (Young, 2018).”]

Aeriol immediately receives a call from James. He looked for Nathaniel and immediately went to the crime scene. They saw Gram hogging all the publicity and reporters "This is surely the work of Jack-the-ripper." Gram said as he brushes his mustache with his fingers. "Do you have any clue who is the Jack-the-ripper?" one of the reporters asked "Definitely!" he answered concealing the fact they got no one on the suspect list "We can't just release anything for now. Rebel Blood

Rebel Blood

The pure evil of some people – a lot of them doing things that are far worse than anything I’d ever seen a vampire do. We land in a dingy alley in a bad part of town. We follow a man and woman to a room, where the man starts to rip the woman apart with a sharp knife. Her screams go unheard and ignored. Athenia and Aldric storm into the room and drag the man away. “Jack the Ripper,” she says. “Aldric killed him.” “Sounds like something he’d do.” A man, dressed as a clown, tying a young boy to his bed. Another chopping off a young man’s head and throwing it in a pot to cook it. A mother poisoning her babies. A woman shooting a man before she robs him.

Red Riding Jack

Jack pulled out, his seed spilling on my thighs. "Let's go," he spat, leaving me shocked and hot. He snatched his briefs from the ground and walked out of the room. I sat there shocked, the swing gently moving back and forth without any support. Frederick also seemed confused, his left hand still wrapped around his length. I got down from the swing and followed behind, finding my way to the elevator where my clothes were. Jack was standing there, fully clothed, with mine in his hands. He gave them to me without a word, and I awkwardly put them on.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're into the gritty, suspenseful world of true crime like 'Jack the Ripper: The Theories and the Facts', you might want to check out 'The Devil in the White City' by Erik Larson. It blends historical detail with a chilling narrative about H.H. Holmes, America's first serial killer, against the backdrop of the 1893 World's Fair. The way Larson weaves together architecture and murder is downright mesmerizing.

Another great pick is 'The Five' by Hallie Rubenhold, which flips the script by focusing on the lives of Jack the Ripper's victims rather than the killer himself. It’s a refreshing take that humanizes the women often reduced to footnotes in the Ripper saga. For something more recent, 'I'll Be Gone in the Dark' by Michelle McNamara dives into the Golden State Killer case with a mix of personal obsession and meticulous research. The author’s passion bleeds through every page, making it impossible to put down.
