Romance Novels Like Twilight Novels & Stories

Theron's POV The day of the event was finally here. This is the day I officially put Twilight on the map. Another success to celebrate. Many of my past lovers have been calling nonstop to accompany me to the event but I turned them all down. I don't want any drama tonight so I decided to just go alone.

As I descended from the sky, my wings gracefully folding behind me, Jonathan greeted me with a tender smile. “Are you ready for another taste, Jonathan?” I asked, my voice laced with a teasing tone. I knew the intoxicating effect my blood had on him, and I found pleasure in fulfilling his desires. He nodded eagerly, a mix of longing and adoration visible in his eyes. “Always, my love. Your blood is the sweetest nectar, a temptation I can never resist.” I extended my arm, offering my wrist to him. He brought my wrist to his lips with a gentle touch, his fangs grazing my skin. As he drank, I felt a surge of warmth and connection between us, a bond strengthened with every sip he took.

If I put them into another novel as the main character, the novel would be tagged with the #DarkRomance trope. These are just my thoughts, but what do you think about them?

(Lancelot’s POV) The novel “The Love of My Life” is a story best suited for teenagers. That being said, some of the topics discussed in the novel weights heavily on romance compared to other elements, world building included. Because of that, the scale between the love interests’ life stories and others’ life stories tipped unfairly to the love interests’ side. Not like I have any problem with it when I read it. Because, I’ve read somewhere before that other than fantasy books with hellishly long storyline and particular world building, books which was written to suit the romance genre shouldn’t depict too much of characters’ other than the main characters’ life.

Twilight wasn’t supposed to have two wolves, but I thought it would be cool, so I added that. 6. Twilight and Trey were supposed to sleep together a few times after the heat. 7. At some point, I changed my mind about fact 6 and then decided they’d only sleep together ONCE, which was when she went into heat. 8. I then again changed my mind about fact 7 and decided they’d hook up a few times, BUT she’d never take him back or have feelings for him. She would’ve agreed to reject him and then discovered she was pregnant with child number two. (How do I come up with this stuff), but I thought against it

I struggled to choose what book to read to him, since it occurred to me, belatedly, that I have no idea what my Master reads for pleasure. I try to choose something classic instead, something appropriate; but ´Wuthering Heights´, with Cathy, Heathcliff and Edgar, and their doomed love triangle, isn´t right. Neither is ´Gone with the Wind´, with Scarlett, Rhett and Ashley. ´Pride and Prejudice´, ´Jane Eyre´, ´Anna Karenina´, all dwell on the failure of three lovers to make their situation work. In the end, I choose something very different, ´Time Enough for Love´, an old 1970´s Sci-fi novel, in which the characters make their polyamorous family work.

I lightly chuckled while I ran my finger around the top of my glass. "Well, aside from me being a hopeless romantic, I have always enjoyed reading and watching supernatural romance. I always read books where a human and werewolf or some other supernatural being fall in love or found out that they were soulmates. I always found it cute and romantic and many times than once I found myself fantasying about basically being in their shoes. I mean, having someone that will love you forever and would never even once think to cheat on you, that's a dream come true." I softly explained with a dreamy smile on my lips.
