“You don’t know what she feels,” I snapped.
“And you do?” he countered.
Silence stretched between us.
Finally, Dante sighed. “You’re competing for Alpha, Kael. Every move you make is watched. If you keep letting jealousy rule you, Chase will win, not because he’s stronger, but because you’re distracted.”
That hit harder than it should have.
“I’m not jealous,” I said automatically.
Dante’s eyebrow lifted.
I exhaled sharply. “Fine. I am. But that doesn’t change reality.”
